Any idea what the looted objects granted by the shoulder enchants do?
There's comments on the database pages that provide additional information.
So if I am understanding correctly. In order to complete or become exalted with these factions or to start the Reputation gain, we must be max level (L 110)?
Actually, I do not see these quests as being any different than daily ones we do now. Looks like a grind of a different color.
a grind is a grind is a grind.... this is the stuff that makes me hate blizz right now. what the odds that its going to take ages. i hated it when i came back to wow that they ways they did the rep grind for this flying achieve was. it was so hit and miss. do they first batch of quests then hand in and get another couple and do that whole area all over again. i kind of wish they did the 1 mill gold route then i know i wouldnt be able to get it.... and the elitist would be happy with it too cause it would be out of reach of most ppl (casual players)
You earn rep by finding rep tokens in treasure boxes and quests. You earn rep from world quests which you can only do by being L110.
People were whining for vanila server but now complaining about grinds, they are also demanding free and easy stuffs so after 2 months they can whine again "Removed, this game got no content, i hate blizz more now". Damn these hypocrites :| be positive or just go away
News have lack of screenshot/model of tabards for each faction
The tabards currently use old models, we'll do a tabard preview when they're all up in the modelviewer.
It's still the Alpha so mounts could be added. But people didn't like recolored mounts from reputation previously.
Seems like people are confusing "effort" with "grindy". Effort means that you don't twinkle your toes and arrive at exalted, you have to work at it. Grindy means that work is repetitive to the point of insanity. I don't mind effort, I hate grindy.
In nutshell, flying is the candy that will keep world content going. People on alpha have already complained about longevity of "world quests". Many are sub-standard, many give gear that will become useless pretty soon and many give totally useless rewards. Worse part, thanks to no flying, 90% of your time will be spent on either using flying point or ground travel and 10% on actual quest. Red flag is all over the place. After two weeks, you will just not do them. Lets see how many take the flying bait. I think Legion first quarter will see big collapse.
People will always complain, it's just human nature doesn't matter how much effort Blizzard puts into delivering content someone will always say there's nothing to do in game. The one thing I do like about the new set up is that we can choose which faction we want to start with unlike all the past Xpacs where there wasn't any true freedom of where you want to level and explore the the story. With the new levelling system we aren't stuck doing the same quest lines in the exact same order on all our toons. So what we don't get flying right away I enjoyed the fact that I have to explore new contact at ground level at first it helps with the immersion of the new story that is unfolding around you.
I wish there was another way to gain reputation with these factions. There should always be more than one way to obtain reputation with a faction. I strongly believe that each faction should have mobs that you can grind out all the way to Exalted as well as Daily Quest/World Quest, and possibly tokens/tabards. Some days, I would prefer not to quest. Some days, it is easier for me to grind mobs while I am holding my son, some days it is fun to complete a series of world quest in hopes of gear and other goodies. There should just be multiple avenues to reach one goal (not all goals of course). This way, players will have more ways to do something. If someone wants to get Exalted in a week by farming mobs, so be it. They'll be the crazy ones. If someone wants to take their time and just do quest, so be it. I think you get the point, the more options the better for each individual player.
Of course it's a grind, that's what rep has always been in the game. You've got one genius in the comments saying they hate grinds but they want the dungeon rep gain back. Then you'll be grinding dungeons! It's like they just want to be given the reward without effort... but they'd whine about that too probably. Negative feedback is important but at this point it's basically crying because the sky isn't the proper shade of blue or a blade of grass isn't animated properly. No wonder the devs keep slipping. How are they supposed to filter the BS "feedback" from the real *legitimate* negative feedback?Personally, I like this. On paper it sounds like we'll have options on how to grind the rep. Kill mobs or loot treasures or do quests or even pet battle for those who like that. We'll probably have rep dungeon weekly events too, like we do now. Different options. That's a good change if they follow through with it.
Well, at least there aren't any mounts tied to them, so I can safely ignore these reputations!
