While I'm not in beta, I would imagine that it gives a magical resistance bonus equal to your level, not just stuck at 57 forever.

During alpha, this didn't give spell resistance. Now it's by far the best tanking and even the best PvP Presence (debatable of course).

Combined with the bladed armor talent...this would seriously allow for some sweet +AP...

i would even consider using it for dps<_< ...if it weren't for the 45% threat increase lol^.^

When a DK is attacking another Melee class in PvP, this is the Presence that should be up. 45% more armor is amazing mitigation.

Does this have any use in pvp ? like if youre kited - you switch to frost, and can survive much nicer vs melee or caster (also with resistances from frost tree ).

it takes a frost rune to switch to it, and if you were in unholy since its pvp, another unholy rune to switch back. i dont think its really worth it.

Did anyone notice it was changed to The death knight takes on the presence of frost, increasing total health by 10%, armor contribution from items by 60%, and reducing spell damage taken by 5%. Increases threat generated. Only one Presence may be active at a time?

I like how it doesn't reduce damage dealt, like Warriors' Defensive Stance does, but still gives higher threat generation. I suppose from looking around at talents and gear and stuff that Death Knights might not have the HP and Mitigation that Warriors or Paladins will have on their plate, so maybe this lets the DPS go faster to kill the boss before the healers run into trouble from the additional healing required in a Death Knight tank?

Easily one of the most powerful spells in the game due to how much is changed when you press one button. It's really due to this that DK specs are not immediately determinate of their tanking ability.

Massive health increase, as if talents and gear weren't enough.
Essentially adds the equivalent of a shield for the Death Knight, as shields do tend to exceed 50% of a tank's armor value.
As if DK's didn't generate enough threat with their DPS (which is pretty high right now), you get an across-the-board threat increase.

A DPS DK could easily pop this after the tank dies and take over a pull to keep the group alive. It's just that good.

A question:

The ToolTip says -5% Spell Damage

The Aura text according to WoWhead is -5% All Damage.

Which is accurate?

This is being changed to 80% increased armor and 15% less spell damage taken.

dont be calling me a hater or anything. as a death knight frost presence is a big help if i were to pvp in blood pres ill get 3 shotted by an arcane mage and hunters but i have noticed that when fighting paladins i see no difference in mitigation in either blood or frost presence the physical dmg yes is mitigated but when ever they hit me with holy based magic i see no difference in mitigation i still get critted for like 10k dmg in 3secs i was screaming: "NERF RET PALLYS!" like many other non pallys then it dawns on me there is no such thing as holy resistance wich means a pallys holy spells will not be mitigated by the 15% of frost presence. its not that they need a nerf tho i think they shudnt have so many stuns but blizz maybe shud make holy magic resistable like arcane or nature based magic.

i have said my piece. and ps. resilliance still plays a part right? i currently have 312 resill just a few pieces of savage glad set

The frost presence scaling of armor no longer applies to trinkets, rings and amulets as of patch 3.0.8.

My 80 death knight tank uses Frost Presence alot and it says "increases total health by 10%" but when i use the spell it doesn't increase my health, is this because of a new patch or what?

alright in 3.3 it reduces dmg taken by 8% does this stack with my armor's 63% reduction? or does it just add to armor.
