Finally found a recipe for this (Alliance). It's in Ironforge, in the Forlorn Cavern. A girl named Tansy Puddlefizz sells the recipe, it's 3.8sp and requires Cooking 50. If you ask one of the guards where a Fishing Trainer is, they will probably direct you to this building; the trainer is on the top floor and the Fishing Supplies vendor (Tansy) is on the ground floor.

Another place to buy this recipe (for Horde) which I discovered after going to UC: the cooking vendor near the cooking trainer in TB. So for any noobie fishers like myself, I'd recommend going to TB, fish in that little pond in the middle of the city, and level both your fishing and cooking (you can buy the recipes for all 3 fish you can catch in that lake). Hope this helps.

I stumbled on this place by accident, just out of curiosity.

The northern pond in Astranaar, fished and the only two types I caught, on just about every cast with a skill of 75,

Raw Bristle Whisker Catfish
Raw Longjaw Mud Snapper

3 to 1 ratio.

Used the Blump Family Fishing Pole (+3 to fishing) and Aquadynamic Fish Lens (+50 for 10 minutes)
