This item is the reward from collecting 12 Arena Master trinkets from the gurubashi arena. The gurubashi chest with the trinket in it is placed every 3 hours (12pm 3pm 6pm etc) in the Gurubashi Arena in Stranglethron Vale. This area is a FFA PVP area, where alliance can attack alliance and horde can attack horde.

It is possible to obtain this trinket (with much help from other players) at level 19. Also note that Dodge Rating +12 at level 19 is almost 5% to dodge, making it a highly valued "twink" item.

Edit- It used to give ~5% dodge at level 19, now it's only about 2% from 1 trinket.

While this is non-unique, it shares a cooldown with a second one, so you cannot use both back-to-back. If you're a serious twink, you may still want a second one for the extra 12 stamina. It's a throw-up between that and the Insignia.

k info, they share cd's and to be useful for a level 19 twink, why even ask if u can use both at the same time at that level that much dmg is hard2 break thru, and it doesnt give stam u nub jus dodge rating 12 for one 24 for two but i say this is very good seeing there arent many trinkets at that level, i have a question, how do u get arena masters for this?

If you have 2 of this item do they share a cooldown? Because if they did then obtaining a 2nd one would only give you the 4.7% dodge and the damage absorbed would mean nothing.

I can amagine that most people want there own twink but they didnt have enough money! I can show how to make a twink who isnt very very expensive, but he is powerfull!
I make an example for a rogue twink :

Main-Hand - Cruel Barb or Stinging viper cuz theyre BoP and they wont cost ya anything! Enchanted with Striking.

Off-Hand - Cruel Barb, also enchanted with Striking.

Ranged - Venomsrike or Thick bronze darts.

Head - Green tinted goggles, if you dont wanna lvl ur engineering you can just use flying tiger goggles cuz the first lvls with engi are going mostly very quik!

Neck - Scouts/Sentinells medaillon.

Chest - Blackened defias armor or Tunic of westfall with 50 health its not so expensive.

Back - Glowing lizardscale cloak or Firebane cloak, it will cost ya 10-15g if u have patience, enchanted with 3 agi.

Feet - Bristlebark boots or Footpads of the fang, they are almost even good as feet of the lynx. Enchanted with 5 stam.

Legs - Leggings of the fang with a medium armor kit on it.

Shoulder - Talbar Mantle, if ur alliance it will be much easyer to get serpents shoulders or Bandits shoulders or sumfin else.

Waist - If you will do some WC you will have the mats for Deviate Scale Belt and u need to find someone who can make it and he cant ask more than 2g fee.

Wrist - Forest leather bracers enchanted with 7 stamina.

It's actually a great trinket for low levels, more so the armor classes than anything else. That amount of damage dealt to a mail class in twink brackets is honestly not that much, it takes a bit to grind a paladin to that point - This makes this trinket nearly invaluable to ANY class, though armor classes will see greater benefit from it. The dodge rating is a nice little addition to make it a stat item as well - If you're going to farm for this item, do so in a group or have friends

For a level 29 twink Non-FC...

I could be wrong, but if you're a twink who isn't willing to get this, you could also go for the level 28 Defiler trinket.

For a non-FC, I believe this would prove more useful. Now, I'm not one to theorycraft, but here goes why I think defiler's is better:

Defilers runs a 3 minute CD.
AGM runs a 15 minute CD.

Defilers absorbs 248-302 damage.
AGM absorbs 750-1250.

Over a time period of 15 minutes, AGM will have absorbed 750-1250; being active only once, and possibly not even taking 750-1250 damage total.
Defilers absorbs 1240-1510 damage over 15 minutes, assuming you use it every 3 minutes. It is also more likely you will take 248-302 damage in 15 seconds than you will take 750-1250 damage in 20 seconds.
There's my two cents worth.

ya there is a big flaw scyx because say im in combat i use AGM i gain 1k health basicly so then i live lot longer or i use Defilers and gain 300 health basicly um i will die but sure it absorbes more damage or 15 min but what battle goes for 15 min. i mean i just every 15 minutes i know i can take about 4-5 people instead of every 3 minutes i can take mayby 1 extra person. its not over time that you want its right then.

That was not a good twink layout. 2 arena grandmasters is completely pointless because it puts a kooldown on both of them. Feet of the lynx=suckishness for rogues footpads of the fang or anglin boots are best and Cruel barb is not as good as sentinels blade which is easier to get and offers some stamina and agility. 5 defenserating on bracers?!?!? No. 7 stam or 7 agility on bracers. Look Up Gorlan. Thats my tiwnk everything is perfect on him except wep enchants and boots and that will change soon. He has 1411 health unbuffed and over 29% dodge chance. Copy his gear cept try for anglin boots and better wep enchants. I will have an update on his health/dodge rating, very soon. Hope this helps. I am also in the guild Marlbaro Men on Draka Server. We are best 19 twink guild on server and disputibly best in WoW(prolly not) but were good. I owe alot of my knowledge about tiwnks to them(snakecharmer, trustfund) some of the best twinks ever. hope this helps!!

ok, zubzubs was listing DODGE gear. this is not a place to stroke your e-peen about your relatively unimpressive rogue twinks.

It doesn't matter if you claim to top damage and kill meters in wsg, especially seeing it's a game of capture the flag. It doesn't matter what your spec is. AGM gives 12 dodge rating. When stacked with other dodge gear, you can achieve a ridiculously high dodge chance, becoming beatable only by ranged classes and MAYBE warriors who land a few overpower crits.

Pallies, other rogues, hunters you can close on, melee shaman, and most warriors will be beatable. clothies will still hit you as hard as they always do, but are wearing cloth still.

Wrong.

Talisman of Arathor (and the horde equivalent), only absorb physical damage. ie: Non-spell damage.

Arena Grand Master absorbs both physical and magic damage. The shield also lasts for 5 extra seconds. Furthermore, you are also gaining 2.48% Dodge on a level 29. (at least according to Wowhead's tooltip calculator).

If the dodge doesn't appeal to you, you can always switch out the Arena Grand Master after you pop the shield too, until the cooldown has expired.

Even though the dodge was nerfed recently so this trinket only provides 2% dodge at level 19, this trinket is still awesome.

- 2% dodge is still a welcome improvement no doubt

- The sheild can be quite handy in situational things (Though the 15 minute cooldown usaly means 1-2 uses per game)

Ive observed that picking up the flag while sheilded by the trinket will NOT cancel the sheild, I assume this is because it is like a Preist's bubble ( X damage absorbed ) and not like a Paladin's bubble ( All damage absorbed for X seconds )

I have not yet had an oppertunity to test wether the Sheild would cancel the Flag running, though I doubt that it would because the Flag does not cancel the Sheild, seems reasonable that it works both ways.

This combined with Insignia of the <Insert faction here> make a killer flag running combo.

This sheild is also nice for killing 5 people on your own. = O

Edit - Further testing has revealed that popping this trinket while holding the flag will NOT cause you to drop it, which can easily make the differance, It should be noted however that abilities which slow you down will still work, even though any damage associated with them is absorbed (I beleive this is the case with preist bubble too)... So if theres people around who can chain-slow you (Warriors, Hunters in melee etc) dont expect to cover too much distance in that 20 sec / 1000 damage.

yeah this works pretty well for my 19 twink healer...however i always end up gettin gouged and stunned through it, also you cant bandage in it if you are gettin attacked >.< You can purge it off of people and i think priests can dispell it im not 100% sure though.

This without a doubt one of the best twink trinkets.

I think most of you already know that already but there appears that some dont really understand what its for.

For example I use it most of the time when i have about 300hp left and really really want to live ... or just to kill that stinkin twink lock, it doesnt matter, what matters is that while the Defiler Trinket doesnt even cover 1 tick of Corruption the Grand Master Trinket can provide you with few extra seconds to kill your prey and possibly.. survive.

False, unless that level 27 has hit rating, it maintains 98% dodge.

Not true, character values are listed assuming an equal level target. Also hit rating affects miss or hit it has no bearing on dodge, which is governed by expertise.

In patch 3.1 the dodge rating is being converted to stamina.

so not true i speak from person exp it absorbed about 1 hit at lvl 70 not the best but i can dish about 2 k in 1 sec and if its 3 sec to that hit it helps idc who u r in wolk worthless and on my 40 warlock 3/12 arenas atm 12 stam is so helpful 120 hp and absorbing damage its easy to abtain all horde twinks on server were so po about patch they quit witch is sad becuz rerolling coulda helped and at 19 it owns and anywho no trinket till like 60 gives close to 120 hp its nice for lvling and at 40 its not hard i have roughly 2k hp and i am seting a about 66 sp i am aff and i think 2.5k mp and i have been jumped by a rogue lvl 40 and won with 80% hp and a 38 warrior won with 50% cuz i hadnt been on him for a while and + if u use ss u can dot die when they open fear and hope dots get them loot fast and then they kill u and u win! yay once i get 1 im rolling for one more acualy on a lock its about 126 hp so 250 hp is great

Bring friends. Sometimes, you can get there (gurubashi arena) and there will be no one. Then you're lucky and you get it. Sometimes there is a stealth guy just waiting to one shot you.

Other times, you get there and a well pvp geared 80 is there waiting to get it for the achievement. Then another shows up..and another..and then there is a 15 minute battle between 10 level 80s, yet they still have time to one shot the level 19-29.

Blizzard REALLY screwed this one up on two things. One, they added it as an achievement. Who is the brilliant idiot who thought of this? This immediately screws over anyone who wants this to actually use it. Then they decide to put a spirit healer right outside the door. So now, there is a bunch of 80s going for achievement (not caring that some people want it to actually use it), and when one dies they run right back in 10 seconds and starts fighting again. Since you don't need to repair during pvp, this only stops once either:

1. People get bored, or decide to give up.

2. The time it takes to resurrect gets too long, and someone snatches it.

So, the only real time you can get this is: You get lucky. Or: You bring friends, lots of them.

And no one can use the "blizz hates twinks" card. Yes, they do, but this trinket is pretty much made for twinks. No one leveling would spend the time to get this if they were going to replace it in a few levels. And even if they wanted to for whatever reason, these changes screw over non-twinks as well.

This item is a leftover from vanilla wow. Back then it was a very good trinket, both for PvE and PvE. 1200 damage was much more than it is now and while twink wanted it too back then, they usually lost it to warring level 60s.
Besides, Blizzard wouldn't remove the trinket because that would take away the point of which the Gurubashi Arena is even there.
Removing a item simply because of some achievement would be stupid. While it might have been a strange move making it a achievement it won't matter just as much since soon the Battlegrounds will give XP and while it can be turned off for twinks you will only face other twinks then. So twinks will never again be a major annoyanvce in Battlegrounds. Finally my hunter can PvP without having to meet a rogue with dual mongoose enchanted weapons!

DAMN! I have gathered up Arena Trinket x12 for my 19 lvl twink priest...and than I tried to hand in the quest...but it doesn't show the quest...So I contacted GM and he told me that quest requires at least level 55. And I have no word now when I spent so much time to get it....

Imo, this is what is true about this trinket

1) Since Achievements came out, it is very hard or impossible to get this trinket without buying off 80's and parking your alt (twink?) at the arena.

2) This is the most saught after level 1 - 29 twink trinket (in my opinion of course) for the extra stamina and the bubble that it gives.

3) Any level 1 twink needs to get this, without a doubt, every 19 should have atleast 1 of these (humans, you can have 2, don't you feel special?), and every 29 should have atleast 1 of these, 120 hit points and a bubble that absorbs damage? Can't go wrong with that at all...

If your looking to pick one of these babys up for a leveling alt, you want to try when your server's population is low, try early in the morning :)

and antius, I've done the first quest and the second quest on level 10's during the 3.2 patch, it requires level 1, nothing higher or lower, until blizzard decides to give the quest a level requirement, which I doubt, because you can pick up the Arena master trinkets and turn in the quest at level 1.

It's so week that level 80 players fight over this. I can see why they want to farm for their twinks but it's so weak. Let the twink try to get it. Takes all the fun away from us who are actually the right level for this fight and wants to do it in honest! I'm in a really bad mood having to watch 80's in all epics fight while I'm watching. Cowards.

One option might be to bring a lvl 80 friend. If no 80's are close fight yourself. If other chickens are there, fight that 80 then. But give it a fair try first. *stomps foot*

There is no need for help to obtain this item whatsoever. I took my 19 twink rogue into the arena and stealthed and I would log in when it was time for the chest. Whenever someone was there (an exception to the 80 paladin that after I stole off, looked out for me) I sprinted to them and sapped, and sap has 10 seconds on anyone above my level, so just enough time.
Only once did this fail because there was an 80 with the 47 whom I did not know about, but it is a very good strategy to watch the chest carefully and when your prey come down, strike.

It might be helpful to know that this trinket does not absorb 750-1250 damage total, but 750-1250 per hit. Otherwise in Vanilla Wow 60s would not even try for this trinket. So instead of 750-1250 on your 19 twink, it'll be around 10000 with 5 twinked hordes on you in the period. Very useful, along with the huge stamina increase, 240 hp for two. You basically have 10x your health in the period

That comment above about the Goblin Rocket Helm is right on. I've soloed two trinkets myself. The trick is being there at slow times, right when it drops and hiding so that people don't realise you are there until its too late.

The last one I got it was just me and a 60 Human Warrior. I'm a 60 Tauren Hunter. I hid and turned on human tracking, spying on him with my steathed pet until the chest was near dropping. I let him get right up to the chest, jumped down and used the Goblin Rocket Helmet. I opened the chest right in front of him while he was stunned to get my second trinket.

Of course, immediatly afterward about 6 more alliance arrived and I was summarily pawned.

You will need:
1. Gnomish Mind Control Cap (reqs 215 eng)
2. Magic dust (dropped in Westfall by Dust Devils, 10% chance)

Strategy:
- get yourself killed in Arena and log out as ghost (so you can res in right time)
- wait till somebody is about to get chest, res and MC him.
- try to log on at 6 (best), 9 and 12 AM
- if a player is about to get the chest, MC him, you lose nothing anyway. Sometimes you will be able to get it yourself.

Variants:
1. Theres nobody except you. Wait 5 sec after chest appears (in case somebody is stealthed) and open it
2. Many people fighting on stairs. Res and open the chest before they notice whats going on
3. Theres a lvl 60 fighting. Wait till he kills all and starts opening. Wait 5 sec, res and MC him
4. Highlevel opening the chest and a lower lvl scared to approach. MC the HL and make him attack the lowbie while opening the chest. Usually it works. Same when 2 guys just shared loot and one went to stairs while the other one is opening.
5. A low level (3x) is alone getting the chest. This time use Magic Dust on him, just in case MC helm backfires
6. An undead is about to get the chest. Use Magic Dust first in any case. If it works, the undead will most likely use WOTF to break sleep. Thats the time you MC him :)
7. You have just MCed someone and another guy shows up and jumps down. Send the MCed one to attack him.
8. Two people fighting and another one is opening. Res and use Magic Dust on him, then run back (you can even use Invisibility potion). When one of them is killed, MC the third and send him finish off the survivor. This tactic is for arena masters only :)

Reasons things went wrong when you thought chest was 100% yours:
1. You didnt log on as ghost and and opposite faction player kills you before event begins. Avoid this by always logging on as ghost
2. The MC helm backfires making you pet of your target. Nothing can be done about that, happens like every 4-5 uses. To minimize, use Magic Dust on lower level players
3. Magic Dust resisted by an undead. gg :P
4. A pet attacked you. Always pay attention to hunters and warlocks. MC them distantly and send them attack their pet. Another reason not to rush is there can be a frost trap by the chest

Notes:
1. Quest.
Green trinket itself requires level 35 to use, but the quest it gives can be started by any level. The final trinket doesnt have any level reqs. Turn it in to the goblin at Arena and it gives you repeatable quest for collecting trinkets.
2. Addons:
- LevelEstimator/LevelMatrix allows you to see the level of pets making you able to guess opponent's level
- Get addon that disables BoP confirmation and shift-click on chest when opening. Thats is not a must though
3. MC helm.
- You are unable to make it youself as lvl 29, but able to equip it. Get it crafted by a friend
- MC helm can be dispelled by SOME (not all) PvP trinkets (rogue's and warlock's I think)
- it can backfire making you opponent's pet
- effect can be removed by using WOTF (undead racial). Thats why you have to use Magic Dust on them first
- you wont be able to use any of controlled players abilities, just select another player and click Attack button (first from left on MC minibar)
- using most eng items puts helm on 5 min cooldown, so those are useless the only exception being the Net Projector. You cant count on it though, it wont disable anyone (using class skills or shooting a gun at you)
4. Magic Dust. Its a drop in Westfall from Dust Devils (lvl 18-19 elementals). There are 13 in the area, you have to go in circles looking for them. Check corresponding mob locations. Drops are pretty low, but you dont use it often anyway. Using MD puts target to lvl 2 Sleep for 30sec. This is a low lvl spell and it gets resisted very often by 40+ players. On a lvl 60 it rarely works, the only use for it on a lvl 60 is to make them burn their anticharm ability (usually WOTF) Theres no other item with such effect except some quest reward (useless)
4. Other items and abilities.
I didnt find them useful, for example you cant count on fearing the crowd and getting the chest, you wont have enough time and many players have PvP trinkets equipped

All I can add is that Arena event is extreme fun, making BGs pale in comparison, and as lvl 29 you have even more fun every opponent being higher level so the only way to get chest is outsmarting them. Thats why its called Arena Grand Master, good luck getting it!

If you play a gnome, you can get this at pretty much any level.

All you do is die (In the arena lol) , and then wait as a ghost on the chest while the guy loots it.

After he loots it, you will look like you are standing on air, just jump.

Now, you don't want to spawn and then die, now do you?

Do /logout, and when it gets to about the 2 seconds left mark, press accept.

You rezz and logout.

Its the same item equiped twice, as rule of thumb they have to share cooldowns. The ONLY reason to duel these is for the stats.

However I'm under the impression that the stats have changed.

i can confirm - this item still available even for 19 lev twinks. not easy to get all 12 tokens for it - coz many ppl want it. Currently i got 10 tokens for my 29 rogue. even 4 of my 70s friends canot give me a 100% result on this arena. to get this 6 tokens - i spent 15 try's - some twinks come to arena with 6-7 ppl support - but 4 of tokens a looted when noone here.
is realy doable even if u alone came to arena on 19lev - its take a time but u will get it soon.
best time to get chest - after 03.00 - 09.00 when almost ppl in bed. and most hard time is 12.00-21.00

p.s get someone who can rez u - most of time i got ganket strait away - there long way for corpse run. PPL who wish trinket but scared of your hilevel friends - gona jump on arena and kill u even if will be kiled by hilevels - they will do it just for revenge

I finally got this trinket, and here is a summary of everything.

First, to put myths, rumors, and false statements to rest.

1. The trinket still has the equip +12 to dodge rating, it has not been replaced with +12 stamina.

2. You need to loot the chest 12 DIFFERENT times, adding up to 12 trinkets.

3. ANY level can start the quest, but you can't use the trinket unless you're level 35 or higher.

4. This trinket is pretty much USELESS for anyone over level 49. Most damage done past level 49 will equal the trinket's max damage absorb anyway.

5. This trinket is perfect for the 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 battlegrounds bracket.

6. The other items in the chest are OK, not really the best items, they're random and you hardly see anything above a blue because the chest gets looted within 10 minutes of dropping on most servers.

7. There IS A TIMER on the chest. Once it is opened and/or someone has taken something out of it, you have roughly about 10 minutes before it will just disappear all together. This is pretty messed up in my opinion, having 15 people go after chest and then just disappears.

8. The COOLDOWN / DODGE RATING STACK. - The cooldown is combined, you use one trinket, the other trinket is forced into the cool down as well. Yes the dodge rating should stack if you have two.

9. The cooldown is only 15 minutes.

10. Forcing the chest to stay there on the ground unlooted does NOT make the items in it better, they are completely random.

11. The items do not always sell well on the auction house, but they do make nice enchantment materials.

Now that we've cleared up most of those issue, lets talk strategy.

Here are a list of points to remember:

Times to go after it:

Best Times: 12am, 3am, 6am, 9am.
Worst Times: 12pm, 3pm, 9pm.
Neutral Time: 6pm.

^ - If you're doing it alone, go for the 'best times'.
^ - If you're doing it in a fairly decent group, shoot for the 'neutral time' or the 'worst times' if you feel lucky.
^ - Don't forget to remember what time of year it is. Try to go after the chest during the weekday, holidays, or religious days, such as Sunday. <You'd be surprised at how many people are offline on sunday between 12am, 3am, 6am, 9am, and 12pm because of church.

The element of surprise:
^ - There are four ways to do this normally.
----- 1. You're a rogue and can stealth.
----- 2. You're a night elf and can shadow meld.
----- 3. You get killed in the arena, logout, and then log back in around the next chest drop and res when it drops, taking out any enemies in your path, or if you're lucky, you'll have no challengers.
----- 4. Use a potion at the perfect moment <best used to stealth past people waiting by the door, etc..>

Use whats available to you:
^ - If you have any stunning abilities, traps, spells, USE THEM. Most of these abilities will keep your enemy away from you long enough to loot the chest.

and last but not least:

PATIENCE!

Yes, you have to be patient, this isn't going to happen overnight, and you're never going to get every chest unless you bring an army with you. Not to mention you'll get the random idiots who are higher level who go after the chest just to sell the items in it, or to gank lowbies who are trying to go after it.

As a side note, the pillers of the archways at the far side of the Arena make wonderful hideing spots. People honestly can't see you if you're in the right spot, and provided you use your camera well, you will be able to see them.

I find that it's best to wait for people to enter, flag, fight eachother, and then just run in myself and waste what ever is left of the all to hasteful foes.

Also, you can get on top of the the walls of the arena. you must use the hills north of it, and slow fall or levitate on to them. This is best used after everyone knows to check for you behind the pillers.

I just got my first AGM! :)

I did it solo, with no help at lvl 19 on a PvP server.

One thing I can't stress enough: If there are players of your own faction standing at the chest, /w them and ask them if you can have the trinket inside. 3 out of 4 times this worked for me...the 4th wanted 50 gold and I lol'ed *g*

And don't be scared to try highly populated times, it's almost completely random. Sometimes there were several people camping the chest at 6am, and sometimes at 9pm I was completely alone.

Here's a list of my times and how often I was successful, mabye it helps someone:
06am: 2 of 6 tries
09am: 3 of 5 tries
12am: 4 of 5 tries
03pm: 1 of 4 tries
06pm: 0 of 4 tries
09pm: 2 of 6 tries
I didn't go for the 3am, 12pm spawns.

It took me about 6 days to get the AGM. I'm going for a second one now and will hopefully be done in a week ;)

Edit: No, you do NOT get any XP from just turning in the 12 AMs!

^^^ That sounds painful. I suppose it could be different people, I mean I have 2 accounts but I can't play both in PvP at the same time!

Anyway, I think the post about being patient is the key. I tried varius things here.... coming in with my S2/S1 geared mage to clear things (ambushed by a S3 geared rogue with some BT gear for like 4.5K... who apparently didn't even loot the chest according to someone else who was there, just trying to have some fun I guess).

Anyway, here is what you do:
1. Be patient.
2. Be patient. I mean, you do have a 70 main (or two) by now right? Go do the dailies, farm stuff for the AH, keep busy.
2. Take off all your repairable gear (or better yet, just take it all off.. makes it clear to the other toons that gank you that you weren't even trying; while it is true that deaths from PvP combat don't damage your gear, DAMAGE you take in PvP combat DOES damage your gear and you will be getting plenty of that).
2. Log out as a ghost on the chest with your twink. You can just message someone in STV of your faction to come kill you if you can't find help doing this.
4. Log in a minute before the X o'clock with your twink, res and immediately try to loot the chest. Don't message anyone, don't fight. Just go for the chest. Most of the time you won't get it. If ganked, just walk your ghost ass back to the chest and logout.
5. Repeat #4 sufficient number of times for 12 quest items (or 24 if you're trying to get 2).

Your success rate will likely be <10%. At first it will be very furstrating because you're used to being able to pull off all sorts of things in this game. But, two things will make life much easier as time goes on.
1. The first time you get the trinket and you realize that it IS possible.
2. The fact that you're not even TRYING to fight that S3 geared rogue with your 19 twink makes things much less frustrating. After a few days, it will be so routine it'll be just like any other grinding thing you do in the game and WAY less personal than PvP usually feels.

I've been at it for about 8 days (maybe 24 attempts in that time), and have 6 quest items... so basically half way there.
The downside, of course, is that you're not PvPing with the twink. But, if you want this trinket, you gotta play ball :)

I have a level 2 warrior on Turalyon named Imtwinked who's sitting in Gurubashi with his first AGM and going for his second. I logged in to my ghost to wait for Short John Mithril to drop the chest, and noticed two grouped 70s from the same guild, Enmity, dueling. The one who lost, Molfsonand, just happened to lose in my rez range... So I rezzed behind him, missed him, then hit him for 4 damage. He died promptly. I felt proud that my level 2 killed someone in 3 pieces of t6 armor, but sad that I didn't get the 2k honor I thought I'd get for killing someone 35 times my level... :D

i got my first one today and I'm really pleased that the real key IS patience just log in at every 3rd hour of of your current server time or about 5 mins before so you can check out if you actually have any chance;
03:00, 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00, 21:00 and lastly 00:00

just to clear the confusion around this topic you may do it at ANY LEVEL, and you do not need a level requirement to start the quest!
you only need level 35 to equip this item
i know this for a fact because i did this today on my level 13 rogue

(though i had a brief chance earlier but i panicked and instead of hitting the *sap* key i hit the *gouge* key accidentally)
lol

and do not think for a second ever that you think you wont have any competition because you are wrong your best hopes are to go in at night and hope there is only 1 other person there

this is a VERY difficult thing to accomplish and since i am doing this solo without outside help i can say with great confidence the accomplishment and victory to think i did this the hard way will be oh so sweet
i hoped i have cleared up the horrible confusion over this arena trinket

Ok guys,

So i read up on this puppy and I have done it in a few different ways. I did the log on to your main, battle it out, ninja log on to your alt. Tried the get a group epic fights (Def. very fun especially if you win), ninja log etc.

I am convinced the EASIEST way to get the 12 is literally to just go on at your twink that is camped at the arena late nights (12am and 3am) preferable weekDAYS and see if anyone is there, if it looks empty 9 out of 10 times it is. I did have a ? ally rogue, prob. a 70 or 71 sap me, and looked at me for awhile. I wrote an Emote "I just want trinket you can take blues" He opened the chest took the blues and left the trinket. Very cool of him =)
But like i said there will usually be nobody there, at the very most there will be 2 people. If they are the same faction simply say, "trinket?"
They will say, "yeah" or "no." Since Blizz implemented acheivements grabing one arena trinket is an acheivement and you will see higher lvls going for this just for that sole reason. I had a 72 lock (Horde) straight give it to me because he knew i would use it. He wrote, use > Acheivement, and there you go, we joined party and I was able to take the entire chest.
If the higer lvl does need or want it for their twink they will be happy to fight you for it, or you can just let them take it, odds are next time they see you they will protect you to get it.

I have 11 total and the last one I got was at 9:50 server time. I came on just for the hell of it and nobody had taken it yet!

All and all there are some cool experiences in getting this item and I def. suggest getting it, seems there are some pretty decent WOW players, i must warn... It is a lengthy process and will NOT happen overnight. My twink (Sneekyshank- 19 undead rogue- Kul Tiras realm) has been camped at the arena for about a month. All and all im about roughly 1 for 3 total. GL and happy hunting

I have a 39 twink and it gave me barely 50 exp, even with my double exp. bars. The extra stamina (+12) from the new patch (3.1) is really nice.

Just to clear up some confusion...

The FIRST time you get the Arena Master trinket (the green one), you need to turn it in to the goblin pirate that sits in the stands of the arena. This will award you experience. If I remember correctly, it was 550 XP on my level 29 hunter. I have heard reports of >5000 XP, though... (of course, this XP doesn't matter with proper planning... get the trinket at level 27 or something if you plan on twinking in the 20-29 bracket). It's also noteworthy that he doesn't TAKE the trinket when you turn in the quest... he just verifies that it's in your inventory.

Then, you must get 11 more trinkets from the event by collecting the chest at 12am, 3am, 6am, 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, or 9pm. When you turn all 12 into the pirate to get the Arena Grand Master (the blue trinket), you will NOT receive XP.

Ive got four of the Arena Master tinkrets now. They are quite easy to get. I just wait unitll everybody is well into their fights and then Sacrefice my voidwalker (Im a 44 lock) to get shield and run in.

If there are few people there I just wait untill only one is left and run in with Succubus seduce and fear him.

Snatched the chest from under their noses four times.

I am pretty sure you can't get this until lvl 35. You might be able to get the 12 trinkets to get the reward but you won't be able to equip this. Blizzard did this to stop lvl 19 twinks getting hold of this item. Even at lvl 35 it is pretty awesome and well worth having so at lvl 19 you would be almost unstoppable in a BG!

I'm so Freaking pissed because of these level 80 Achievement Hunters which always steal my chance at getting it and im a level 19 twink rogue And they just get it at every time it spots... Here are the times the chest is put down

12:00 Midnight
3:00 AM
6:00 AM
9:00 AM
12:00 Afternoon
3:00 PM
6:00 PM
9:00 PM
12:00 Midnight

And goes on and on like that this is the server times BTW.
This is when the arena thing pops up and you need 12 to complete the quest.

I just completed this quest on my warrior twink today. I got 0xp for completing the quest, took me 2-3 weeks to get all the 12 Arena Masters though.

The cooldown on this one is 15 minutes.

You can obtain this at just about any level with enough help. Look up Ronrdia on uldaman and see that it is indeed obtainable.

I do not know the despawn times, but it has to be over 15 minutes, as I have seen large battles over the chest, and after 15 minutes it is still there.

I got mine last weekend, works great.

well for anyone that doesn't know the arena master trinket you receive after looting your first chest has a level 35 requirement to EQUIP. if you right-click it from your inventory, you will be able to start the quest at any level. I started the quest at exactly level 18 (eighteen), turned it in and the goblin now wants 12 more to give me the arena grand master trinket. he has a blue question mark above his head which means the quest is repeateable, ergo you can get the twink more then once. while browsing through some 19 twink rogue CTprofiles I came across one rogue who was wearing 2 such trinkets. I was quite stunned as I thought
that they would share the same reuse cooldown, meaning that activating one would lead to both entering cooldown status. now I'm not so sure. can anyone please set me straight on this matter? having two such trinkets ready to be used seperantly would really make me a twink god. does it put down your flag when you use it? I don't know that either. ^_^

i saw a lvl 70 getting it for a twink. then, then, this one bastard horde(im horde too, not saying their bad but i could talk to this guy) he was a @#$%^. he was making fun of ppl with cancer. hes saying, "o i have cancer." I got the last of my 12 trinkets today, but not without a fight over the last few days. The amount of time put into this baby was definetely worth it, and already it's proved it's worth.

The actual effect is very similar to a priest's holy shield with the effect lasting until consumed by damage or after 20 seconds, whichever comes first. Being able to protect yourself from a stun lock and the subsequent poisoning long enough to get into a kiting position or avoid an inevitable execute just long enough to get off a last killing shock is priceless. While the shield holds there isn't any knockback on spell casts either.

Definetely worth the effort... assuming you can get your hands on one ;)

Finnaly got this on my warrior, after a long time of farming it in the arena, took 20+ attempts before making 12. Wouldn't be as hard if there wasn't groups of newbs wanting chest but not intending to actualy collect all 12 on almost every spawn.

Overall the actual trinket is somewhat usefull for flag running in WSG and 1vs1 pvp, but I cannot say that I would ever bother doing it again. I wasted a great deal of time gathering up the 12, and the trinket itself isn't that great. For PVE its nearly worthless, as raid mobs/boss's just smack the shield off in 1-3 hits. To make real use out of it, you must fire it at the same time as your potions.

The most disappointing factor, is that it shares a reuse timer with the Gnomish Mind Control Cap, using that or this will put a 5min reuse on the other. That alone leaves me rarely using this thing, as I'd much rather use that instead if something goes sour. If I knew this BEFORE I got it, I wouldn't have wasted the time.

I feel so bad about it, after all fighting someone who has insanely less armour, worse weapons, lower level and enchants which are not as good is just the mark of a complete idiot right? This quest is one of the most annoying in this game for sure in my opinion. I am level 48 rogue and try with friends of my level to get all 12 trinkets. There are so many people that play dirty: they bring one or more level 60-70s and have them kill all the challengers and get the chest without even sweating. This leaves us first time players to pray those guys will not come on the next drop of the chest. I wish it was every 2 not 3 hours in order to have people finish faster with this torture. This is done by both horde and alliance people

Chest spawns at (i believe) 2PM,4PM,6PM(on my eastern american coast server anyway). You must get 12 arena master trinkets(+5 stam)

Then you hand in the quest, and get the Arena Grandmaster. Which is the #1 lvl 19-29 twink trinket. And for twink rogues, if you don't already know, go here

for all of your rogue twink needs.

This is a BiS item for many twinks in various levels. Level 60's can get use for it as well.

Some facts about the trinket itself:

The absorb shield (Aura of Protection) can be dispelled. It's a magic buff.
The trinket share cooldown with an additional Arena Grand Master trinket. Some twinks may use two of these trinkets for the stats, but don't get fooled by it. They are using it for the stats only.

How do I get it?
You need to loot the chest in the Gurubashi Arena in Stranglethorn Vale x12 times.

An NPC will walk down to the middle of the arena and spawn a chest every third hour. At 00:00, 03:00, 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00, 21:00 and repeat.

You need to make sure to loot Arena Master from the chest that spawns. They're soulbound and can not be bought. Only the player who opens the chest can loot it. None of the items will be up for a loot table to greed on even if you're in a party.

Be prepared that the arena is an FFA zone (free for all), which means that even your faction are able to attack you if you step in. And looting the chest will most likely be contested. Other wants the loot too! The chest also drop other stuff other than the trinket.

Prepare to have free slots, you got to save those Arena Master trinkets, because you are going to need 12 of those to get Arena Grand Master

You get the Arena Grand Master trinkets from turning in 12 Arena Master trinkets to the goblin NPC that spawns the chest. He is usually at the opposite side of the entrance to the arena.

The first quest is Arena Master, which gives 560 exp, therefore you can't get it on a lvl 1 character. You will get to lvl 2 by this quest.
The other Arena Grandmaster quest return gives no exp at all.

12 dodge rating = 2% dodge chance at lvl 19 in TBC Classic.

Used to give over 4% dodge chance earlier patches of TBC but it got nerfed in the middle of TBC and the database we are using in classic is for patch 2.4.3

This will be an item for tanks in sod. Every day 2/3 of this trinket will be generated. So yeah it will be maybe like atiesh splinters.
