Pretty hard to complete when nobody ever goes to half of these places. Best of luck farming farmers and defenders bored enough to hit the lower workshops/towers.

Yeah, I highly doubt that more than a few people per server will ever manage to get this unless Blizzard changes Wintergrasp so that there's actually a reason to be anywhere near the south end of the map.

I'd say there are multiple ways to catch people in those other areas:

People who attack the southern towers and workshops in pursuit of the related achievements.
People farming wrath-essences from the elementals. This is especially true for the side that's won and thus can see the high-droprate revanents. After you've lost the BG it's a prime opportunity to hunt the other faction in the revanent stomping grounds.
After a battle, both sides are given a daily that encourages you to fight the other faction in a particular zone. Over time more people will recognize that daily as a signal for where to farm the other faction for this achievement.
Last, regular essence farmers who want nothing to do with pvp will likely hit up the zones in off-hours (overnight, early morning, etc). That'd be a great time to hunt them to complete this achievement.

Overall, since you only need a handful of kills per location, with a little patience you can pull it off.

Theres a problem with your #2. Seeing/not seeing the revanents is a phasing mechanic, e.g. if you are on the losing side you won't see anybody from the winning side. This actually makes it HARDER to get this achievement.

they can still see you. the mobs are invisible to them, but they can still see you. Just like you can see them.

Anyone tried kiting NPCs to these areas? And if that doesn't work, then I'd say this achievement really needs fixing.

This quest doesn't seem very balanced, since the horde basecamp is in The Chilled Quagmire but the alliance camp is across the lake from what is zoned as Glacial Falls, which is technically only up above the literal falls.

The Glacial Falls part of this achievement is the bottle neck. Once that's out of the way, the rest is easy, especially with toppling the towers being a quest now. Alliance on my server routinely comes south to destroy them when they're defending. The Chilled Quagmire is easy to get in comparison to Glacial Falls, as the poster above noted... you'd have to find people above the falls and there's only 4 water elemental spawns up there yet there's dozens in the various bodies of water below.

Camping this area, I found 2 mining nodes can pop way up top by the Icecrown and Dragonblight border and attract some alliance. Problem is, they gain a debuff called Recently Slain that makes them worthless for the achievement and the Slay 20 daily quest (though I still get honor from them).

There's also the rare person coming up to kill elementals surprisingly. I found a Holy Priest soloing them up here which I didn't hesitate to kill and even helped out (waiting for the debuff to fade) which I then killed a second time because I'm an evil bastard.

Update: I finally got this achievement. I found that there's a daily quest that comes by this area that has you kill the elementals above the falls and also loot Alliance corpses. Come here on those days to get the Glacial Falls part of the achievement. Changing my perspective, it must suck to be on a server where your faction is the overpopulated side. It would be very hard to get the kills needed on the southern end.

I have a question about this one. do the kills reset when you leave wg or do they each have universal counter that you would eventually get?

i believe that each has an individual counter that does not reset. Can anyone verify?

gigant i go with the same question but different its possible to get credit example if you kill some player during one fight 1-3 and continu on the next bg and get the credit for 10players.

This achievement is harder to get as an Horde character than Alliance.

The Chilled Quagmire is nothing more than the main horde graveyard and where the NPC when you attack are... Which is easy for alliance to grind there on repop.
Now you may think than any other place is the opposite faction equivalent, but you would be wrong.
Broken temple/Sunken ring, are north garage.
All places remaining are either south towers or elementals daily grinding. But why is there that extra chilled quagmire ? I see an alliance character who is as crazy as me in wintergrasp, he has done chilled quagmire kills age ago, his only left is the winter tower, while I struggle to kill anyone at the chilleg quagmire, just because all you are going to find is horde people. I probably killed one in my all life, and it was a farmer that was passing by...Every time I see dead elementals I'm following the track like "hey hey maybe finnaly an alliance, but no, again and again horde"

Chilled quagmire only says to me "please alliance come farm hordies at their graveyard when you have time"

And here we are again, alliance favored by Blizzard...as for strand of the ancients. It's tiny but it's there...

Glacial Falls is a hard place to grind but not if you go there during that particular daily. I'm guessing this would be the hardest place as an alliance, as post mentionned before, but believe me chilled quagmire is far far ahead in diffulty for horde. I have no idea why they put that there ?

Also as you may think my post is not constructive but indeed is, I will add a last piece of information, you actually get credit for grey kill, it doesnt need to be an honorable kill, just as the tooltip says "an alliance player".

I've easily completed every criteria of this except for Glacial Falls....

I've only killed maybe 3 in Glacial Falls.
The resons why Glacial Falls is difficult for this is:

It only has about enough elementals there for one person to do the daily. It's much easier to stick to the river that flows across the middle of WG.

I think Blizzard needs to increase the density of water elementals in Glacial Falls and decrease the density elsewhere in order to encourage PvP there for both this acheivement and the daily quest.

Glacial Falls is hard for both factions because nobody bothers to go there.

The Chilled Quagmire is easy for both factions because that's where most of the deaths occur if Alliance attack the Horde Landing Camp. When this occurs there are many deaths on both sides as Horde are overwhelmed in number while Alliance are constantly under attack by the Horde NPCs (who respawn very fast), making this a great chance for both Alliance and Horde to add to this acheivement.

The Alliance Landing Camp is actually situated quite a bit away from Glacial Falls, making PvP from the Ally base being attacked impossible.

While I have not yet achieved 10 kills in Glacial Falls I am well on my way now that I've figured out how to get players there... After the battle I wander Wintergrasp on my mount until I find a feisty alliance member, when said member of the opposing faction attacks me I run and let him give chase. Once I get into Glacial Falls I quickly dismount then attack. This works surprisingly well actually, the opponent thinks because your running your an easy mark and often will go to great lengths to hunt you down.

Also one additional helper, talk to a spirit resser, while being dead or alive, and they can teleport you to other spirit ressers inside WG :)

Since this achievement is obviously next to impossible for people on some servers to complete, I wonder how it is that they also obviously do VoA anyway.
After every WG battle people huddle together in front of the instance and begin to enter, one raid after the next. - There're also always several raids LFM.

.......

I wonder if this achievement series - and the ones in this bracket is just one of 8 or 10 in total - is an absolute must to complete first if you want to raid VoA? (Or is it perhaps only required for Heroic mode?)

How to see your progress for individual areas:

Get Overachiever from curse. Install.

Open a whisper to yourself. Shift-click Wintergrasp Ranger in your Achievements pane.

Click on the link in chat. You will see x/10 for every incomplete zone.

Okay, I have an interesting question. Do you actually have to be in the zone to get a kill there? I ask because I was defending a breach in the western wall in a Demolisher, so I was technically in the zone "Wintergrasp Fortress". And after the battle, I noticed I had an additional 3 kills in Chilled Quagmire. (I have Overachiever install, so it tells me how many I have.) So I figure, as long the person you kill is in the zone, you get the kill, even if you aren't.

Although, the people I was shooting were coming up the path from Broken Temple, and I don't think the place THEY were is in even in Chilled Quagmire, yet I got those 3 kills.

I know this is gonna sound silly but do they have to be honorable kills or does any old kill count like for city defender and does it have to be during a battle?

I some how got The Chilled Quagmire even tho i have only been there one time and never killed any horde when i was there nor did i get any Honor kills. I did find a nice mod that can tell you how many kill's you have tho only need 3 more spots and 40 more wins.

I got the glacial falls part of this achievement by kiting people to the area and trying to bait

overzealous people into thinking they could kill a disc priest :p

This achievement seems to currently be bugged on Wrath of the Lich King Classic, killing players at Shadowsight Tower is not granting progress.

I would also like to point out that the Battle does not have to be currently active. You can just go to the zone and do this at any time.

any ideas how to get kills at Cauldron of Flames?
i mean in Classic with crossrealm WG's BG both sides in 99% cases have win buff and players are in different layers (or whatever), so for hours of waiting someone at that zone i've seen no players of opposite faction, i even asked friend to log his horde character and we couldn't see each other
and during WG's BG there are also usually no players, as there are literally no objectives to fight for
i'm in despair, as these 10 kills are the only thing i need to finally get my Master of Wintergrasp achievement

upd: nevermind, layers are only around fortress, and we had just bad luck with my friend, lol
best option is either wait for that weekly WG quest, or just create horde char and spam at LFG or /who Wintergrasp and ask someone who is there to help (it was really faster than just trying to hunt someone)
