There are currently 198 quests listed on Wowhead which are tagged as "Shadowmoon Valley".

70 of these are Alliance or Horde only, split evenly into 35 each.
14 of the quests are daily, and thus do not count.
4 of the quests are the repeatable signet/mark turnin quests.

That leaves a maximum of 145 valid quests that any one character can complete. I foresee this achievement being quite difficult in its current form...

The achievement has been fixed since this comment was made, and now only requires you to complete 90 quests. The original version was impossible to complete, since there simply weren't enough quests in the zone that any one character could do, even if they sacrificed their reputations in order to do both the Scryer and Aldor quest lines.

For those of you looking for this achievement don't forget the quest Illidari-Bane Shard from Overseer Ripsaw. Since it's a drop quest it's often overlooked.

So I'm guessing from these comments, there is no way to get this achievement without picking either faction then?

I've gotten Hellfire, Terokkar, Nagrand, Zangarmarsh, and Blade's Edge Mountains without choosing a side, but now I'm being force to. Damn..

I'm currently stuck at 88/90 and have done all of the above mentionned quests. All I really have left is the Trial of the Naaru Quests you get from A'dal in Shattrah.. do these quests count towards this achievement?

Not sure if this is alliance or horde, but there is a quest giver in Terokkar Forest that gives quests for this achievement.

Don't forget to do the questline to access Netherwing reputation! It's a 9 quest chain starting with a Blood Elf NPC named Mordenai who wanders between the 2 giant crystals west of Dragonmaw Fortress on the map. I flew around at 88/90 for a week trolling for quests until I discovered this! Also do not forget to do all the BT attunement quests -- up until the A'dal quests in Shattrah which do NOT count towards the achievement, however the ones you receive from the weaponsmith in the very NE corner of terrokar DO count towards the achievement.

For anyone doing this achievement and missing a few, check with Thane Yoregar: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/npc=21773 because he gives you an item that summons the actual quest giver and you might have thrown it away in the past. The quest giver is -> Wildhammer Gryphon Rider: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/npc=19382 The Gryphon Rider is involved in 5 quests in all. I was only missing two quests and this guys put me a couple over the 90 limit. Best of luck!

Finished this achievement with quests left over. I started but did not complete the entire series of quests that start with Illidari-Bane Shard, nor did I complete the series of quests starting with Bring Down the Warbringer!.

After i completed the achievement i discovered 15 more quests :) So is very easy to do this , In my opinion was the most easy quest-achievement in Loremaster of Outland.
Hope the quests will help you complete it also.

I'm stuck at 71/90. I have Battle of Crimson Watch, but haven't successfully completed it yet, so I'm left wondering if there are followup quests that I can't get yet. I've also done a couple other quest chains up to the point where I have to go into Arcatraz or Auchinidoun (I'm doing this all solo, so I'm kind of screwed there). Other than those, I can't find any other questgivers in SMV.

quests from David Wayne count also. Search his name and he has a few quests that will put you over your goal.

Just FYI if you did all the available quests from Aldor or Scryer, switching the faction will NOT get you more quests.

I switched for the achievement and checked just in case but other faction wouldn't offer anything but a daily. So if you aren't planning to switch for achievement but thought about switching to get more quest, don't. It'd be a waste of time.

Hi...I'm currently stuck at 61/90 quests for this achievement, so obviously, I'm missing some. However, I've gone all around to the places that Wowhead says there are quest givers--with my low-quest filter on--and nothing seems to be coming up. What am I missing?

Also, (don't think it's had a mention yet), there is a Skethis NPC called Parshah, who walks along the north/south road just due west of the Deathforge, who gives a chain of five quests.

Okay, you don't have to worry about changing reputation from Scryer to Aldor, you don't have to worry about the Netherwing reputation races and you don't have to do anything remarkably strange or weird in order to achieve this; it's actually pretty simple.

Do the main quests from each of the main hubs, wrap 'em up, get 'em done. As hinted above, you need to free Earthmender Wilda from the Coilskar Cistern and this will net you a whole heap of quests. You need nothing before you start, just go into the Cistern, kill the naga imprisoning Wilda near the back of the cave and start the quest to get her out of there.

After that, you'll follow this:

1) She sends you back to the Altar of Damnation.
2) There, you get three quests to capture raging spirits (I didn't notice it before freeing Wilda).
3) After that, you get sent up for Ornorok at his farm.
4) He'll give you two quests on the shelf behind him before revealing who he is.

From Wilda, the running total is now seven.

5) You now have to free Ornorok's sons.
6) First son has one more quest, second son has three and the fourth has two.
7) This then brings you to the Cipher of Damnation quests and the end of the run.

TL, DR?

Start at the Coilskar Cistern and you'll end up getting around 20 quests for your achievement.

I considered all sorts of weird things before finding her and going on this chain - don't make the same mistake. :P

Having just cleared this up today on my home stretch to Loremaster, I'm going to provide a quick recount of as many quests as I can remember. For the record, I'm Alliance and Aldor, so a fair few of these will be for those only. From memory of when I did it months ago on a Hordie, though, the quests tend to have parallels on either side so it's not a big deal.

Started by heading to Wildhammer Stronghold as directed by a quest that I got in Nagrand or somesuch, just a generic breadcrumbs quests. Did every quest from this stronghold. These included:

- Beating up the Legion at Legion Hold, Deathforge, and other places
- Heading to Parshah the Arakkoa Pariah and doing a bunch of quests for him relating to undead arakkoa
- Fighting the Blood Elves at the Path of Conquest - you'll get a flaregun to summon the quest guy, which can be easy to forget
- Visiting the Ancient Shadowmoon Spirit and doing his quests relating to Teron Gorefiend
- Feeding a hungry gnome

There may have been others but they don't stand out in my mind - just do all the quests there at Wildhammer.

From there, I followed another breadcrumb to the Altar of Damnation. This sets you on an epic quest chain which clocks you in at about 20 or so quests and takes across a fair chunk of the zone and to a couple of different quest guys around the map. It's pretty epic and worth doing even if you're not going for the achievement.

Once I'd done those I headed over to the Aldor base at the Altar of Sha'tar. More quests there.

- One chain will have you fight the Ashtongue Broken, until it leads you straight to Akama and he explains his heel face turn and wants your help. I think this was the old Black Temple attunement quest, but regardless. He'll send you off to the Arcatraz. I didn't need to finish this quest to get the achievement, so I don't know if it counts, but I believe it should.
- There's a chain to have you kill the head Blood Elf demon hunter named Varedis. It's notable in that it will lead you off to Nagrand for a while, and the quests from Nagrand count towards it and not Shadowmoon (which was good for me because it tipped me over there as well). It does give some checks towards Shadowmoon though.
- Pretty sure there's a few others here, but again, they don't stand out in my mind. It's a quest hub though, so you know the drill - farm it dry.

By the time I did all those I was well on my way to finishing it, about 75+ by then. Then there were the quest-giving item drops around the zone. I can remember a couple at least:

- While doing the Path of Conquest quests, there's an Elite mob named Val'Zareq and his retinue of flunkies patrolling around. Killing him drops a quest-giving item and leads to you getting a sweet tabard.
- There's a Moarg named Overseer Ripsaw at Legion Hold. Killing him drops the Illidari-Bane Shard, which sets you off on another quest towards a guy in Terokkar named David Wayne. He'll have you gather some materials, then send you off on two dungeon quests - one to Shadow Labyrinth, one to Mechanar. Both appear to count for Shadowmoon.

At this point I was close, so I flew over to the Netherwing Fields and did the Netherwing quest chain. That's another eight or nine quests there, and was enough to tip me over the edge and net me the achievement. Another easy to miss quest is deep in Coilskar Cistern, where there's an orc shaman trapped within a globe of water. Beat up the Naga behind her and she'll be freed, offering an escort quest.

This is far from a perfect guide, I know, but I just thought I'd try and post up as much as I could while it's fresh in my mind. Hopefully this'll be able to help someone else following my footsteps in the Loremaster grind.

peron above me already mentioned it thought id say thanx for the Escort quest in the cave in northern smv Earthmender Wilda is her name for clarification for people.

also above this same cave is an npc called Oronok Torn-Heart gave me a quest might lead to more il update.
