It's obvious that crocodilisks will be the best aoe-tankers when it comes to hunter pets if this ability has unlimited charges and each counter will generate aggro.

Okay people might possibly hate me for the long post on this:

You can't actually calculate the threat max on just time base alone since this is assuming you are litteraly constantly in combat. Which is unfair, you are not constantly in combat.

If you are soloing you have about anywhere from 0 seconds to infinate amount of down time but assuming you're running around pulling one mob after the other about I'm figuring about 7ish seconds (no drinking) and take anywhere from about 5 seconds to 30sec per mob kill but probably about 10ish seconds per mob.

While in instances about a 1 minuite down time from pull to pull is considerd average with about 5-20seconds per mob kill.

Obously the larger group you pull the longer total time it is going to take to get each mob down, though the average time decreases depending on how much damage you are able to put on the other targets while you are killing one, but increases the down time depending on how much mana/pet health you had to use in order to get the time diffrence on the other targets. This is again changed as to if you are soloing or in a group or instancing and how much down time you would have anyway and whether or not your pet is getting hit (which is a huge diffrence for the croc)

Also as far as threat to damage to time to whatever else is impossible to calculate right now becuase it's impossible to tell how much each ability is affected by spell power or attack power and so on.

What all this means is that you want a Monkey if you are killing a lot of mobs all at one time quickly and you expect there to be about 1min from group to group. Since while it's over all threat is likely to be over run by any of the other pets over an extended period of time, a Gorrilla has bar-none the MOST amount of burst threat AE.

You want a Croc if you are killing a large amount of mobs at one time that you expect to be hitting your pet and nothing else. That you figure are going to take longer to kill then what you would be killing with your monkey and have a bit more down time between pulls (which is expected since you are to likly have used all of your mana to kill everything plus possibly a pot)

You want a Bear if you are killing about 3 mobs at a time (which works nicely with Multi-Shot) you do not expect a lot of down time, and you don't need as high of burst threat on the targets considering you will mostly be focusing on one and then the another then the next and the swipe is just to hold off threat from your multi shots and mend pet.

One thing that always has to be considerd is that extra threat means absolutly nothing if you are not acttually using it. While the idea of having your pet 200% above your own threat is comforting it serves no more usefulness then having it just over your threat as long as it holds threat the whole time.

Something strikes me as odd about the way this skill is worded. If you look at other pet skills they all refer to the pet as Your Pet in some form or another while this skill says You. So my question is can anyone confirm if the pet snaps when the Pet is hit or does it snap when the Hunter is hit?

I love the name of this skill.

Although, from the Hunter's perspective, this isn't a BAD Attitude at all; it sounds like a GOOD Attitude to me. I can just imagine Hunters going out, taming Crocolisks, and bringing them into PvP; Rogues would get torn apart.

This needs revisiting now that all Tenacity pets will get Thunderstomp in 3.1. Croc is the new Gorilla?

In my opinion the Crocolisk will be very good as far as possibly leveling goes seeing as Swipe and Thunderstomp Combos might focus starve Bears to quickly, but at higher levels once one has -Go for the Throat- a Bear should be the best AoE Tank. Depending on your Talent Spec at least.

Call me whatever you want, but the thing I'm most excited about for 3.1 is Thunderstomp being available to all Tenacity pets. I can't wait to get a Crocolisk, Thunderstomp and Bad Attitude my way across Azeroth.

So, what happens when my croc activates this, then hits a target with either Thorns, Retribution Aura or something like that? Will there be repeatedly hitting between my croc and the target for the next 45 secs?

<3 this spell! Its awesome! And its effected by bestial wrath 2! BA + TS + BW = massive agro!

With BA alone i am able 2 use volley without worrying bout stealing agro, its great and wiv longevity it has above 50% uptime! This is a MUSTHAVE 4 any levelling hunters try it out 4 urself!
