This is awesome, at 1.0 sec GCD for LB and Rejuv. it is theoretically possible to roll LB on 7 targets (at least with a little bit of haste). Amount of healing is substantially increased because of this.

Does anyone know if stacking LB to 3 on target returns 15% of mana or just 5%...in other words is it considered one hot effect of 3 individual ones

While lifebloom can be stacked to 3, it in essence is still only one effect.

So...you could have a bunch (say 7) druids casting HoTs on a target, then someone casts either HT or Nourish, and it's mana cost (after the refund) will go down to about...0? Sounds a bit crazy, I'm assuming it should say your HoTs. But then again I'm not in the beta so I have no idea :).

Can someone verify if this affects all HoT effects from all classes and sources (mobs, items included), any amount of Druids HoT effects, only your Druid HoT effects or only your own Druid HoTs plus item related HoTs? Also is there a roof on the amount of manacost reduced and what would that be?

What I want to know is that if the GCD can actually be pushed under 1 second with this talent and any spell haste. Is it possible?
Celestial Focus now gives +3% spell haste, so with Celestial Focus and Gift of the Earthmother, some very interesting possibilities present themselves if the GCD can be pushed under 1 second.

This is useless in 2v2 Arena right? Or basicly any arena?
I mean stacking lifebloom is *pointless* in PvP, and Wild Growth won't be used in 2v2 really.
It's probably worth it when raiding or in a dungeon - but for PvP, no thanks!

This formula shows how much haste you need to get to a one second GCD normally.
Percent Haste = ( ( Base GCD / Target GCD ) - 1 ) * 100

And here is that formula with actual values.
50% = ( ( 1.5 / 1 ) - 1 ) * 100

Normally you would need 50% haste or 1639.5 haste rating to reach a one second GCD.

GotEM reduces the base cooldown by 20% or .3 seconds ( 1.5 - (1.5 * .2 )) seconds. Now the formula looks like this:
20% = ((1.2 / 1 ) - 1 ) * 100

Essentially GotEM is worth 30% haste (for the affected abilities only) or 983.7 haste rating.

As mentioned above, typically you need 50% haste to reach 1 second GCD or 1639.5 haste rating , so with GotEM you now need 655.8 haste rating to be at a 1 second GCD.

1% haste = 32.79 haste rating

Wrath of Air Totem = 5% haste (163.95)
Celestial Focus = 3% haste (98.37)
Improved Mookin Form = 3% haste (98.37)

To sum everything up:
With 5/5 GotEM you need an additional 655.8 haste rating (20%) from gear and buffs. Figure out which buffs you're going to have and subtract their value from 655.8 to find out how much haste rating you're going to need from gear. Keep in mind the GCD cannot be reduced below one second, so aim for exactly 20% additional haste after 5/5 GotEM.

i dont rly get this spell. you get 20% less cd on spells that are instant? and their GCD is already 1 sec, right? i've checked it and there is no cd on lifebloom or Rejuvenation.

I've been playing with my set and I certainly am not pushing the max on Haste. It might be I just don't get it but either this talent impacts the GCD on ALL of my spells (both Balance and Restoration) or it's doing nothing. Am I looking at the wrong thing? Insight? Help(!)

keep in mind, you would need 5 points in this talent plus 600+ haste to get to the 1sec GCD you're so thrilled about.

This talent makes the three instant cast spells mentioned have 1.2sec GCD (1.5*0.8=1.2), down from 1.5seconds.

5 talents for 0.3 second faster casting on 3 spells, all of which are HoT. I'd say there's better places to invest your talents :/

Yes, I know this has awesome power as being able to heal 6+ people in a raid, but hopefully your raid group will pick up a resto shaman for their chain heal and it won't be essential for you to be the most amazing group healer anyone has ever seen.

In the upcoming patch 3.3, Gift of the Earthmother is getting a revamp.
At rank five, it will now increase total spell haste by 10%.

To reduce the GCD from 1.5 sec to 1 sec, you need 50% haste.

10% from GoTEM
5% Wrath of Air
3% Moonkin Aura (or Retribution Aura)

32% to reach your 1sec GCD timer on HoTs now, but it now applies to all spells, so you would need 32% for Nourish to have a 1sec cast time as well.

32% * 32.79 haste rating = 1049(.28) haste rating

3% Celestial Focus

29% * 32.79 = 951 haste rating

If you start gearing for straight haste, and consider the gear dropping in Icecrown, I think this is attainable. For 7 extra talent points you can pick up Celestial Focus and save 100 haste rating in the process.

Looks like some people on the PTR forums are saying ~800 haste. I'm not sure if they're counting buffs differently.

Haste is NOT additive, but multiplicitive. Neither is GotEM multiplicitive with other haste effects when talking about GCD (though it will be multiplicitive on calculating cast times for non-instant casted/channeled spells). The method is still the same: "Reduces the base global cooldown", meaning that the starting point to calculate haste requirements is based on a 1.35 second GCD (10%) instead of 1.20 seconds (20%). Additionally, 10% haste is applied to all casted or channeled spells (i.e. Nourish, Regrowth, Healing Touch, Tranquility), which is actually a minor buff.

The current formula to calculate the GCD on druid HoTs is:

(1.50 - (0.06 x GotEMPoints))

...where GotEMPoints is the amount of talent points spent in Gift of the Earthmother...

divided by (a)*(b)*(c)*(d)

...where:
(a) = (1 + 0.01 * CFPoints)..................CFPoints is the number of talent points in Celestial Fury
(b) = (1.05) if Wrath of Air Totem buff is present, else the value is 1.
(c) = (1.03) if Improved Moonkin Aura or Swift Retribution is present, else the value is 1.
(d) = (1 + Haste/3279)........32.79 rating = 1% haste, decimal moved to right two positions to convert from percentage to decimal

If all talents and buffs are active:

GCD = (1.50 - 0.30) / (1.03)(1.05)(1.03)(1 + Haste/3279)

To find the haste necessary to get to 1.0 seconds, substitute "1" for GCD and do basic algebra:

1 = (1.50 - 0.30) / (1.03)(1.05)(1.03)(1 + Haste/3279)
1 + Haste/3279 = (1.50 - 0.30) / (1.03)(1.05)(1.03)
Haste/3279 = ((1.50 - 0.30) / (1.03)(1.05)(1.03)) - 1
Haste = 3279(((1.50 - 0.30) / (1.03)(1.05)(1.03)) - 1)

Complicated? Yes. Works? Yes. Mix and match the values of talent points, and the result will mirror the values found in the Restoration Itemization thread on EJ. Example:

Take the above formula, and change the (1.50 - (0.06 x GotEMPoints)) to (1.50 - (0.03 x GotEMPoints)) - going from 20% to 10% reduction of base global cooldown means half the number in the formula. The result for the same conditions of the EJ example:

As you can see - the haste requirement has more than doubled to maintain 1.0 GCD. It is achieveable purely through gear/gemming without going deeper into Balance - but not easily. High ilvl requirements to get that much haste.
