A very powerful tool in both PVE and PVP

Poisons are common place in many encounters and the ability to remove them can make a huge difference in the way the encounters goes for your group.

In PVP encounters, this spell can be applied proactively or reactively and is extremely useful against rouges' poisons and hunter's poisons.

Note: Completely replaces Cure Poison, the mana cost is exactly the same.

By casting this spell prior to gathering Nightmare Vine (as opposed to afterwards), you will not even take a single point of damage. The spell lasts long enough, assuming you get the timing right (not hard).

Should be noted that currently (comment written as of 2.3) this spell is bugged and completely ignores dispel resist checks, such as those from the rogue talent Vile Poisons. It will dispel a poison 100% of the time on each tick (not sure about the initial cast).

Takes up the same amount of mana as Cure Poison, so it might be easier to just stick this on your hotbar instead. It truly shines when you have a stacking poison on you (Cure Poison only cures one stack, AFAIK), or when you're faced by a large number of mobs with Poisons (or a Rogue in PvP).

With the rate rogue poisons come in, this spell needs a major buff. Removing 1 poison every 3 seconds is nothing compared to a rogue applying 2-4 poisons per second.

Perhaps a poison every second and have the duration reduced, that would make it much more effective.

ever used this against rouge?

blind is a poison effect. if you use bash/roots you probably be blinded by some rouges... just use this and you will only be blinded for 2 secs :)

Before 1.9, Abolish Poison cost 100 mana.
After 1.9, Abolish Poison cost 199 mana for a level 60.

Abolish Poison now costs the same amount of mana as Cure Poison. WTH.

basicly, once you cast this you are almost (in ways) immune to most poisons.

spiders, scorpids, some demons, rouge like humanoids, hunters, and of course rouges, along with many others practicly spam poison. This is your big defence to gaurd against it wasting their spaming time and making a much more efficient spell than cure poison which will only remove one poison which they could apply right afterward.

I wasted about an hour on that level 14 quest, because this cost the same mana, and its umm how can i put this,, better?

ya you getit for free, outside the cost of it , but i mean its trainable w/o cure poison. so dont DO THE LEVLE QUEST CHAIN

Can "Cure Poison" be used as a counter spell against a rogues "Blind" spell? thats a poision isnt it?
