This has too be one of the best tanking glyphs for a warrior's and only increases their abiliy to AoE tank. So with this glyph and improved thunder clasp you will have a very good AoE move.

This is a god send to Warrior Tanks around the globe.

Get. This.

On a side note it will probably get nerfed slightly to reduce the amount of damage Thunderclap does (e.g. 10%) or a slight cooldown increase but who cares? Eight targets is a LOT.
With bosses we don't use Thunderclap for aggro - and with Damage Shield (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/spell=58874) we are not going to miss a few points of damage from Thunderclap that much.

No longer relevant as of the newest upcoming patch. Thunder clap will have no target limit. I suspect the major glyph will effect it's scaling and damage now.

Changed in the latest patch to a 5 rage reduction on TC.

This 5 with 4 from Imp TC and 3 from Focused Rage yields an 8 rage AoE on an unlimited number of targets and reducing their attack speed by 20%?

Sounds like a dream.

It doesnt seem as useful for aoe tanking, taking the other available glyphs into consideration. With multiple mobs beating on you rage is not something to be worried about. The sunder armor and devastate glyphs will probably do more for aoe threat.

It's an off-tank glyph.

When you're the main tank in a fight, you aren't hurting for rage. But off-tanking without having a boss hitting you in the face, you will be starved for rage. This makes it easier for an off-tank to keep a debuff up on the boss without eating up all his rage when you have a warrior tank that can't afford it in a rotation, or another class tanking.

AOE tanking shouldn't be a rage problem in most cases. Bloodrage, Charge, Thunder Clap, Shockwave, and Berserker Rage after the stun wears off if necessary. You should have more than enough rage every six seconds for Thunder Clap.

First, I want to mention that my warrior was not the class I played the most in TBC and therefore, all my observations were made in Northrend only.

Compared to some other "tanking" glyphs I saw, I believe this one to be one of the best.
And I do not think this is an Off-Tank or Main-Tank glyph, it is great for either of them.

Someone earlier posted that a Main Tank shouldn't run out of rage... I have to disagree.
We have so many abilities to use, that I always run out of rage and have to practically wait for it to come in. Sure that Bloodrage > Charge > Beserker Rage, give you a good initial rage count to start with but then after Thunder Clap > Shockwave > Cleave/Devastation and then cycle Cleave with Shield Slam and sometimes I need to wait for a bit of rage for my next Thunder Clap.

And like said before, now that Thunder Clap is not limited to the number of targets it can hit, if you had up all those 5 rage you save, it will add up to something big at the end of an instance (that is of course, if you got a good group and don't have to sit down every 2 pulls).

In my opinion... when the server comes back on, I'ma getting it.

As an experienced and near epic'd out Warrior who frequents heroics, I would not use this Glyph. It may have it's purposes, but if you're tanking more than 1 mob at a time, you shouldn't have rage issues. I have a 23% dodge chance, and even with good avoidance I'm not rage starved.

Here's the deal: if you're tanking one mob (a boss) and just using it for the debuff, you'll probably only hit it once and this glyph will save you barely any rage the entire fight (not that you need it, tanking a boss usually means full rage bar).

If you're tanking multiple mobs, you'll be getting hit all the time and have plenty of rage to thunderclap. Thunderclap also is not spammable, when its up, I always have the rage for it. Use another glyph.

A good glyph when leveling as prot. With Improved Thunder Clap the rage cost for Thunder Clap is reduced to 11. Whenever you're taking on multiple enemies, you can pop this and worry less about getting rage starved.

When leveling as prot, combine this with Glyph of Revege to keep even more rage.

Leveling a prot warrior this one is a must imo. Then pick cleaving at 30. This of course assumes dungeons all the time.
