This is, obviously, the scroll form of the Crusader enchant. I don't exactly know how turning enchants into tangible scrolls works, but you can buy this directly from someone who isn't an enchanter, or buy it from the AH. I got mine for ~115g.

It probably comes from a new enchanting ability, or teaming up with an inscriber. Very convienient!

I'm not really sure why, but I still manage to sell two or three of these per day via the AH. Perhaps I'm lucky on my server, but I can pick up the raw materials for less than 50g, then sell the scroll for 95-115g.

Of course, every server enjoys differing AH prices, check your server; you could be missing a small, niché money-maker!

There is no deposit requirement either.

Patch 3.1 has not changed anything with this enchant, still very good low level twink enchant for your weapon.

I must say that this is not the best twink enchant. It haves approx. 5.1% proc chance on Cruel Barb. The slower the weapon is, the higher proc chance. The same weapon (Cruel Bar) enchanted with Lifestealing haves a 22% chance to proc. Lifestealing is better in my opinion.
Crusader proc chance = Weapon speed x 1.82
Lifestealing proc chance = Weapon speed x 7.87

Some testing shows that when under level 10 (so far) the proc rate of this enchant is, to say the least, sporadic. I've gone 10 minutes of non-stop killing, and it not proc a single time, then it might proc 2 times, back to back.

This might be coincidence, but I have never had this proc when I'm fighting more than a single mob, when I have 2-3 on me at a time (I'm a Paladin), when this enchant would be most useful, it never procs. I only get procs when I'm alone and usually not around any mobs other than the one I'm killing.

I don't think this enchant has a global cooldown or a proc chance when under 10, I think it takes on a whole new mechanic, or maybe I just have the worst luck in the world, who knows.

enchanters can enchant weapon vellums with there enchants. thus making it possible to create scrolls of enchants that can be sold or sent to alts etc

so here we are 2 content patches and 20 levels later and i still find myself making a living from farming stratholme.

from pristine black diamonds to large brilliant shards, from righteous orbs to illusion dust, everything this instance has to offer is worth a small fortune at the ah.

not to drift away, the crusader enchant is in very high demand on chromaggus-eu and i'd suspect on most other realms. prices vary between 230-300 g per scroll making this a very very profitable business for an enchanter that isn't lazy when it comes to farming old content. sure you could buy the orbs and shards from the ah but at 70-80 g per orb and 5-7 per shard that would cut your profit drastically.

i've been able to learn epic flying on an alt, craft a pair of hellfrozen bonegrinders and buy a ring of rotting sinew almost exclusively from selling these puppies. and that should speak for itself about the real value of this recipe.
