Octobers Brewfest Brew.

When you drink it little Squirrels run over and throw acorns at you or fall in love with you. They don't last long however and only come once for every 4 or 5 drinks. Binary Brew was far superior in my opinion.

Drinking this might make you feel Watched for the next few seconds (time varies), aswell as create an Empty Brew Bottle which you can throw at others or at the ground.

The Watched buff summons a small Woodland Squirrel with either hate aura or love aura. Those with the hate aura might toss an acorn at you, and those with the love aura will follow you around with a heart above their heads. It is fully possible to summon more than one squirrel at a time, and these may have different auras. Throwing an empty bottle at them will not trigger any reaction, nor will any emotes as far as I know.

After sending these brews to both Witch Doctors of the Darkspear, and Alchemist of the R.A.S. (Royal Apothecary Society) we have determined that there is an additional unadvertised ingredient added during the fermentation process...

Squirrel Pheromones.

It should be noted that anyone partaking in this brew will smell of love crazy squirrel and acorns (used in place of traditional grains) simultaneously...a dangerous combination. This attracts actual squirrels to the partaker, and, depending on the sex of the squirrel, a startling reaction is garnered.

A female ready for mating season will follow the drinker around, hoping to share acorns...this is mostly harmless, since the squirrel will quickly realize you are not the same.

A male however will react territorially, taking your pheromones as a challenge to his territory, and will proceed to use the most basic instinct in the testosterone driven animal kingdom...the squirrel will let his nuts do all the talking.

Take heed that if enough is drinken (drank?) in a short space of time before the first squirrel attracted departs, a squirrel of each sex can be attracted at the same time (meaning you can have the squirrel that throws acorns at you out at the same time as the love crazy one if you pop your drinks fast enough). Also, I have come to discover that squirrels of the same sex will show up together if the ale is consumed rapidly and in large amounts, as just now the subject consumed six of the brews as fast as possible, and had four nuts thrust upon him at once, with one curious female following him.

This should be the last brew you drink to complete Brew of the Year. The achievment tracking system didn't allow for either this brew...or the brew the month before: The Binary brew to count a year ago when they came out.

So here's the question, does the brew of the month club continue into this year? I think I remember getting a brew in the mail at the start of this month, but I mean, do you have to get a new "subscription" each year?

Last year I joined the club and as was previously stated, I don't have credit for this brew. I don't want to buy another year or whatever if I don't have to.

Think I'll be getting this last one in the mail next month? (October)

Its so silly tbh, if i buy a 12 month sub i want the 12 drinks for each month, not 11 ... as i just noticed that i dont have this one, and stoped doing the dailys ones i had all items, and dident know that i had to renew, i now have to wait ANOTHER year for this one..... srsly 12 months is 12, not 11..

This is the first month's brew in the new Brew of the Month Club. It doesn't appear to provide a buff. Once consumed the bottle can be thrown at people.

Yeah, each time you drink you produce an empty bottle that can be thrown (you get a small green targeting cursor to aim and the bottle shatters on impact). Both the Ale and the empties stack to 24. The empty bottles can also be sold to a vendor for 2c (so you can get your deposit back I guess). Both the Ale and the empty bottles are soulbound.

Edit: If you aim the empty bottle at a spot where a player i s standing they will get hit and jerk slightly like being hit my a snowball. Haven't tried it in a group yet to see if it will knock down or otherwise affect party members differently. Affects mobs but not critters as far as I can tell. Will not do damage or draw aggro.

You also have a random chance (maybe 33-50%?) of getting the "Watched" buff and having a squirrel come up and throw an acorn at your head with a "bonk" sound, or it will fall in love with you and get a heart over it's head and will follow you around for 15 seconds or so. When he finishes the Watched buff goes away.

You get one bottle in the mail on October 1st, and the club vendor in IF/Org will sell you as many more as you want (since you're a club member). I don't know if prior month's brews will be available in future months, or if they'll only sell you the current month's selection.

All in all more than I was expecting and about what I was hoping for from the Brew of the Month club, so I look forward to next month.

There is a buff, it's called Watched and the caption reads 'You've caught the eye of a woodland creature...'. What I've seen is that it spawns a squirrel which either throws a pine cone at you and then disappears or it becomes enamoured, making little hearts appear over its head. If it becomes enamoured it stays a few seconds longer and follows you around.
