Isn't think kind of a dangerous achievement, especially the 'defend' part. I mean, in theory, it might actually encourage people to endanger a held position. Just sounds like a bad idea to me.

Got it today with Overly Defensive solo, these 2 are some of the more difficult achievements as defending is quite awkward, 50 seconds to kill the horde and start capping after they assault a node.

My way to do this (and overly defensive also) was to wait inside de mines when we controled GM for a enemy runner to pass and cap the flag. Not rarely they will cap it and go if no one else is there.

This one requires kind of a dumb opposition. One in which few of your opponents like to defend. I managed to get it about a week ago. I got the final defend maybe one or two seconds before the game ended. The allies had just taken the mine and then became distracted when an onslaught of fellow Hordies came to attack them. I stealthed over to the flag and recapped while they were otherwise engaged. :D

There's 1 more way to do this. Reroll a rogue or DRUID... Noggenfogger Elixirs might also help.
Tbh on most battlegroups hordies are just "I want to fight! I am pro. 0KB 1Honorable kill 8Deaths" so they wont defend much.
Anyway, I as druid, defended 8dun baldar bunkers (S, N) and 6 times aid station in a same battle, as they did not defend them. around 20-35 hordies in dun baldar :D
Can't believe how blind they are with aid station, as if there was over 10 hordies standing within 10 yards and it's very very close to vanndar fortress, unlike Drek'thar + hut.

Its hard to get these achievements and do what is best for your team in any given match.

I found this very easy to complete, and did it in the same game as Disgracin' The Basin. As a holy paladin I was able to grab my first flag in the beginning from the Farm, Crusader Aura helped me distance myself from the rest of my group so I could make it there first. The opposing team happened to be using an all-out zerg strategy, so I took advantage of my opportunity and ran straight to stables where I assaulted their flag before it was captured in their favor. I then ran up to Lumber Mill where the Alliance had assaulted the flag, and after killing them off I defended the base. By then the Alliance had captured the Farm, so I ran over there and assaulted the flag to complete Disgracin' The Basin, and then ran over to the Blacksmith where the Alliance had just assaulted the flag and with the help of some stuns and fears I was able to defend the flag to complete the achievement. Overall it was a very fun experience!

I managed to pull this off last night. Trust me when I say that if I can do this, anyone can because I am not great at PvP.
If you are looking for a few hints, the best I can say is that this is very situational. I waited for a game that was pretty much 2-3 or 3-2 all game long. The game where I got this achievement was about 24 minutes, so lots of time to run around.

So, basically, I charged out of the gate and grabbed the Farm flag. Easy enough. I can get this one pretty much every game. Nothing for a while. Scope out the map, 2 horde heading to Gold Mine. Follow them, they attack the Alliance, I grab the flag and take off. It caps. I wait at the top of the hill (always check your map ot use Deadly Boss Mods to see easily which flags are in contest). Alliance recaps Mine, I head down with about 30 seconds to go and manage to retake it by luck. I die, I res at Farm.

Lumber Mill. I head up there. Me versus 2 alliance. Shaman and warrior. I just run in and try to defend flag figuring I am about to die when a rogue pops out of nowhere and destroys the shaman. Then another hordy jumps in. I defend the lumber mill, achievement complete.

Also, since the game at this point was only about 800 to 750 or so, I keep checking for flags in contest and manage to grab one more for Overly Defensive :)

Very Difficult Ach!

I've had 2 assaults and 1 defends numerous times. I've has 1 Assault and 2 Def numerous times, as well.

All i can say is rush to grab your first assault right off the bat. Then hope they are doing a Zerg strat and just lag behind their "capping group" defending the nodes they just assaulted.

If they aren't doing a zerg strat, queue up with a friend. Then whenever they assault a node, rush to it with your pal and hope you can kill the defenders and cap before they rez and stop you from capping the flag.

ps. I got "Cough" ach before this and overly defensive.
