I'd like to know how achievements work, because I've completed pretty much all of these already. Will I have to do it again?

Some require Northrend to complete, so you can't get a title right away, but anything the game currently records - namely loot and quests - will be credited on 3.0's launch.

So you can get something like Ice the Frost Lord or King of the Fire Festival, since WoW already records that data. Burning Hot Pole Dance, unfortunately, isn't something the game would save right now, so you'll have to wait for the Summer Festival '09 to complete this achievement.

On the PTR I had this title, and I was so excited! I was really looking forward to it on live. But then they added two components that couldn't be retroactively applied, so I guess I have to wait another year :'(

This title given is different from the one alliance players get and is accually the only world event with this difference

At 5 Blossoms/Honor, and 10 Blossoms/Desecrate Alliance gets 120 Blossoms, Horde gets 120 Blossoms.

Each faction may also visit the opposing factions capital cities, and extinguish the flames there, for 25 Blossoms per flame.

At 25 Blossoms each, Alliance gets 100 Blossoms, Horde gets 100 Blossoms.

Total, Alliance gets 680 Blossoms, Horde gets 690 Blossoms.

It costs 400 Blossoms to buy the entire outfit needed for Burning Hot Pole Dance, the pet is 350, and the braziar is 350.

Alliance will need an extra 420 Blossoms, Horde will need an extra 410 Blossoms to buy everything, which you will have to get from the daily quests.

There are three dailies that offer Blossoms, 5 each for More Torch Catching ( A / H ) and More Torch Tossing ( A / H ), and 10 each for Striking Back, available to all levels.

There is also a one-time quest starter looted from Ahune's chest called Shards of Ahune that rewards 20 Blossoms.

The Midsummer Fire Festival begins on June 21st and ends on July 5th, giving you plenty of time to finish these achievements.

This should be an easy title to get, given how much time you have to do it. Although, I do wonder if Ahune in the Slave Pens will be buffed to accommodate level 80 players. We will see :)

The reason that you can complete the desecration and honoring is because when you do so you actually completes a quest. The quests can be completed once each year.

Btw because desecrating/honoring is done be quests you will receive experience. You might want to take your alt to some of the fires.

Also sinces they're quests and gives experience they will give gold to players at maximum level. In 70 it was 3-4 gold.
When you think about how many bonfires there is you find out that desecrating/honoring literally pays off :D

Midsummer Fire Festival
Bonfires Guide

*Note: This guide is for the Horde side and involves going into Horde cities. Alliance players may use this guide but will be at a disadvantage because they will miss flight points. You have been warned.

Before You Start:
This guide will involve a lot of traveling. Make sure your character has a fair amount of money to pay for the flying, an epic ground mount with any speed-increasing talents or spells you can use, and possibly a friend so you don’t get bored. In addition, this guide will enter all Alliance cities and steal their flames. Because you will likely die several times trying to accomplish this, I recommend you leave your raid armor in the bank and bring along some sort of holiday set. I use my Bloodsail Admiral set for this stuff. Do not leave any sort of armor that has durability in your bags, as it will get broken when you resurrect at a spirit healer (because there is a 99% chance you will.) Once you’re set, start at step one and shove off!

Start in Dalaran (make sure your hearth is set there) and take the portal to Orgrimmar.
While in Orgrimmar, honor the bonfire at 46, 38.
Head down to Razor Hill and honor the bonfire just south of it at 52, 47. Go back to Orgrimmar.
Head to the flight master and take the flight point to the Zoram Strand in Ashenvale.
Run north into Darkshore, stopping at 36, 46 to desecrate the Alliance bonfire on the shore near Auberdine. Then jump onto the boat to Darnassus (kill the Night Elves on the ship and any that show up)
At Rut’theran Village, desecrate the Alliance bonfire (56, 92) which counts as the Darnassus bonfire. Then head into Teldrassil, stopping at 55, 60 in Dolanaar to desecrate the bonfire.
Head back to Darkshore and take the boat to Azuremyst Isle.
Follow the road toward Azure Watch (skip Exodar for now) and desecrate the bonfire at 44, 52. Head through Azure Watch and follow the road north into Bloodmyst Isle.
Desecrate the bonfire at 55, 68 just a little south of Blood Watch. Now follow the road south back into Azuremyst, and take the fork that leads by the Exodar.
Desecrate the bonfire at 40, 25 in the Crystal Hall. Head into the Hall of Lights (the room with Prophet Velen) and take the spiral path up and out of the Exodar. Take the boat back to Darkshore.
Head back down to the Zoram Strand in Ashenvale and fly to Everlook, Winterspring.
Once you arrive, honor the Horde flame (60, 35) and desecrate the Alliance flame (62, 35). Then fly down to Splintertree Post.
Honor the Horde flame just outside and to the west (70, 69) and desecrate the Alliance flame just south of Astranaar (38, 55).
Either run south into the Barrens or head back to Splintertree and fly to Crossroads. Either way, honor the flame at 52, 27; just north of Crossroads. Fly to Sun Rock Retreat.
Honor the Horde flame just outside of Sun Rock (50, 60). Fly to Shadowprey Village.
Honor the Horde flame in Shadowprey (26, 77) then head north to Nijel’s Point and desecrate the Alliance flame (66, 16).
Walk south into Feralas and take the boat to Feathermoon Stronghold. The bonfire is just to the west of it (28, 44). Desecrate it, and go back to the mainland.
Follow the path toward Camp Mojache, and honor the Horde flame you come across (72, 47). Continue east into Thousand Needles.
Head toward Freewind Post, honoring the flame at 42, 53. Then fly to Brackenwall Village, Dustwallow Marsh.
Honor the Horde flame (33, 30) and follow the road toward Theramore and desecrate the Alliance flame at its gates (62, 40). Go back to Brackenwall and fly to Gadgetzan.
Honor the Horde flame on the north side of Gadgetzan and desecrate the Alliance flame on the south side. If you are hated with the goblins, be careful of the guards. Fly to Cenarion Hold in Silithus.
Honor the Horde flame to the south of the Hold (46, 44) and desecrate the Alliance flame on the north path (57, 35). Go back to the Hold and fly to Thunder Bluff.
Head south into Mulgore and honor the Horde flame near Bloodhoof Village (52, 60). Head back to Thunder Bluff and honor the flame there (21, 26).
Hearth to Dalaran.
Take the portal to Silvermoon City. Honor the flame there (71, 42).
Head out into Eversong Woods and honor the flame outside of Falconwing Square (46, 50). Head to the flight master outside of Silvermoon and fly to Tranquillien.
Head north and honor the flame near the fork to Suncrown Village (46, 26). You now have two paths you can take.
Fly to Undercity from Tranquillien.
Fly to Silvermoon and use the translocation orb to get to Undercity.
Fly to Revantusk Village in The Hinterlands and honor the flame at 74, 74, north of Revantusk Village.
Head north-west to Aerie's Peak and desecrate the flame at 14,50.
Head back to Undercity from Revantusk Village.
Once in Undercity, honor the flame in the Ruins of Lordaeron (as if you were leaving Undercity to go into Tirisfal, it’s right by the gates) and head out into Tirisfal Glades.
Honor the flame on the west side of Brill (57, 52) and walk east into Western Plaguelands.
Head down south through the Ruins of Andorhal to the fork in the road just north of Chillwind Camp and desecrate the Alliance flame there (43, 82). Once again you now have two options.
If your hearth is cooled, you can hearth and take the portal to Undercity and fly to The Sepulcher. Honor the flame at 49, 35 and fly to Tarren Mill. Honor the flame at 58, 25.
If your hearth is not cooled, walk through Alterac Mountains and arrive in Tarren Mill, honoring the flame at 58, 25 in Hillsbrad. Then fly to the Sepulcher and honor the flame at 49, 35, then fly to Tarren Mill once more.
Now in Tarren Mill, head south to Southshore and desecrate the Alliance flame at 50,46. Head back to Tarren Mill and fly to Hammerfall.
Honor the Horde flame just south of Hammerfall (74, 41) and then head to Refuge Point to desecrate the Alliance flame (50, 44). It will be along the path north of Refuge Point.
Walk south into the Wetlands, and veer toward Menethil Harbor. Desecrate the flame at the bridge (13, 47) and follow the road east into Loch Modan.
As soon as you emerge in Loch Modan, you will come to a fork in the road – one path leads south towards Thelsamar, the other north back into a tunnel. Take the north fork and walk into Dun Morogh.
Follow the road west towards Ironforge, desecrating the Alliance flame at the crossroads at 46, 46. Head into Ironforge.
Fight your way to the Hall of Explorers and desecrate the flame at 63, 24. You can either corpse hop your way back or just resurrect at the Spirit Healer. Either way, head back into Dun Morogh and take the path east back to Loch Modan. Make sure you take the same road you came through.
Now take the south fork which takes you by Thelsamar. Desecrate the Alliance flame at 32, 40 and head south into the Badlands.

Head to Kargath and honor the Horde flame. Fly to Flame Crest in Burning Steppes.
Honor the Horde flame just southwest of Flame Crest (61, 29) then head south. Desecrate the Alliance flame near the road leading into Redridge (80, 62) then follow the path south into Redridge Mountains.
Desecrate the Alliance flame south of Lake Everstill (25, 60) and continue following the path west into Elwynn Forest.
Desecrate the Alliance flame near Goldshire (43, 63) and head northwest into Stormwind.
Fight your way to the Stockades, desecrating the flame at 37, 59. If you get into trouble, run into the Stockades and regain your health, then run out and try to escape. If all else fails, resurrect at the spirit healer. Either way, head west into Westfall. *Note: At this point you will have completed “A Thief’s Reward” which will earn you an achievement in addition to the others earned by this guide.
Run to Sentinel Hill and desecrate the flame there (56, 53). Run south and follow the path east into Duskwood.
Head far east to Darkshire, desecrating the flame there (73, 54) before continuing east through Deadwind Pass into the Swamp of Sorrows.
Make your way to Stonard and honor the Horde flame there (46, 47). Once more, you have two choices.
Fly to Booty Bay.
Fly to Grom’gol if you are hated with Booty Bay.
Wherever you flew to, head just north of Booty Bay and desecrate the Alliance flame (33, 73) and honor the Horde flame (32, 75). Fly back to Stonard and head south into the Blasted Lands.
Desecrate the Alliance flame at Nethergarde Keep (58, 17) before heading south through the Dark Portal into Outland.

Note: At this point in the guide, you should have finished the achievements “Extinguishing Eastern Kingdoms”, “Extinguishing Kalimdor”, “Flame Keeper of Eastern Kingdoms” and “Flame Keeper of Kalimdor”. If you do not have these completed, go back and check over the guide and be sure you have not skipped any steps.

Before You Start Outland:
Outland will also require a fair deal of travel. However, you will not be entering Alliance cities. Because of this, you can pick up your normal gear from the bank. Also, it helps incredibly if you have all of the flight points and an epic flying mount. When the word “fly” is used in this guide, it means with your flying mount. Flight points, if used at all, will be denoted by “take the flight path to…” in this segment.
Almost done!

Starting at the Dark Portal (right where the last guide left off), fly towards Honor Hold and desecrate the Alliance flame on the path leading east out of HH (62, 58.)
Fly north and honor the Horde flame right outside of Thrallmar (57, 42).
Either take the flight point to Swamprat Post or fly towards Telredor.
Desecrate the Alliance flame near Telredor (68, 51) and then fly west towards Zabra’jin.
Honor the Horde flame at 35, 51. Fly south into Nagrand or take the flight point to Garadar.
Follow the road west of Garadar and honor the Horde flame there (50, 34).
Fly south and desecrate the Alliance flame outside of Telaar (49, 69).
Fly east into Terrokar Forest and honor the Horde flame outside of Stonebreaker Hold (52,42). Near the Horde flame should be the Alliance flame, outside of Allerian Stronghold (54, 55).
Continue east into Shadowmoon Valley. Honor the Horde flame outside of Shadowmoon Village (33, 30) and desecrate the Alliance flame outside of Wildhammer Stronghold (39, 54).
Fly to Shattrath or take the flight point there.
Note: There MAY be a flame in Shattrath, but I have not confirmed this. Either way, it is not required for any of the achievements.
Take the flight point (do not fly, it will be far more painstaking) to Thunderlord Stronghold. Once there, honor the Horde flame outside (49, 58). Fly west near Sylvanaar to desecrate the Alliance flame (41, 66).
Fly east into Netherstorm or take the flight point to Area 52. Honor the Horde flame there (32, 68) and desecrate the Alliance flame there (31, 62).

Those should be your last two flames. Congratulations! You’ve done the worst part of Midsummer!

Tom tom waypoints for all Kalimdor fires.

For ease of use make a macro a paste each section in there - press the macro and past the new section ( it wont all fit inside 1 macro ). Or simply grab the ones you want - note the nodes arent optimized for traveling path so you may want to reorder them or simply just use the dot on the map to find the fires

How does Blizz expect us to do this when people desecrated/honored the fires last year, you can't even desecrate/honor them again this year... So pretty much if you did all the fires or the majority of them and missing a piece of the fire set you are going to have a difficult time trying to get that last piece since you can only do 2 dailies that give 5 each.

Saw a Blue Post somewhere saying that they will hotfix the bug that doesn't allow you to do the fires if you did them last year. (Well I thought Can't find it anymore so who knows)..

Also if you need the Torch juggling achievement just buy 10 juggling torches goto dalaran find a nice empty space look down and just use a keybind to spam then they will go straight up and back down just keep doing it and you will eventually get the achievement, I used the Arcane Mastery book I got for reading all the books to teleport to that room and did it there.

I also noticed that the Shoulders that you buy from the vendor said I could sell them back for a refund so maybe after you get the dancing achievement you can sell them back (not sure if it actually works didn't try) and have 100 of the blossoms for something else.

Just got my Flame Keeper Title :)

Not terribly difficult to pull this achievement off at all. A guildie and I started right as the festival started and hit every flame starting in mainland Kalimdor. We took the boat to Exodar (first one to arrive) and desecrated that flame with no resistance but guards. (We were 2 80 DKs doing this by the way.) Took the boat to Darnassus and had no trouble with that one, or the one in mainland Teldrassil.

Then we took the boat to Stormwind, hit that flame, then took the tram to Iron Forge where we both died for the first time after getting that flame. (Got out in one shot though.) Admittedly, we did all the capital cities from 6-7 a.m. server, so very few people would be on then anyway. I would easily recommend doing so for anyone interested in not having too difficult a time, or doesn't want to spirit rez when dealing with the capitals. (At 3:00 p.m. server in Org, a couple Alliance came 1 by 1 to the flame and were almost insta killed shortly before or after getting it due to about 30 people being right there - the most similar effect for Horde would most likely be in Iron Forge.)

Anyway, once we did the capitals, we wrapped up Eastern Kingdoms going south from Iron Forge down to Booty Bay, then hearthed back to Dalaran and started south again from Silvermoon.

Outland was quick with us both having epic flyers. The only part of the acheivement we had a problem with was duoing Ahune (should've read wowhead first.) Anyway, Ahune is soloable with some difficulty by a blood specced death knight as my guildie eventually did later. He's probably easier to solo as a pally. Easily duoable by high 70s to 80s with a healer though. I ended up doing mine with an 80 pally healer and a 67 warrior who I had dragged along for a solo attempt (I'm a Frost Tank/Unholy DPS).

A couple tips though. If you do this in a group, get a pally for the Crusader aura - it will make it go that much faster. Also, bring a death knight if you can since there are times when it is advantageous to ride over water. (Going to the alliance flame in Feralas and going to the alliance flame in Wetlands from Arathi Basin come to mind.)

Other than that, not very hard at all. An 80 could easily take a lowbie to hit all the flames with either a mammoth or a motorcycle, though they would be stopped up at Ahune due to the instance level requirements.

EDIT: Though I didn't mention it before, the pole dance and the juggling achievements are fairly self-explanatory and you can check their respective pages if you need tips. The juggling one I think you need to have at least 10 torches though (borrow some from a friend after doing the one daily). And for the set for the pole dance, you should have enough after doing all the honoring/desecrating of the fires, with some to spare for either the brazier item or flame pet, I don't think you can get both in one year.

They don't reset daily. Blizzard reset them last night to fix all the problems people were having if they did it last year or two years ago:

As far as holidays go this one isn't too bad. It only LOOKS daunting. (but I'm speaking from a PVE'er point of view)

Here is my advice for getting it done in the first 48-72 hours.

*If you are a mage you have a selective edge as far as cutting down some time. If you are not a mage it would by wise to pair up with a mage buddy so they can teleport you to the capitals and Theramore.

*Knock out the opposing capitals first. Those are the hard ones. TAKE OFF YOUR ARMOR! You may think you'll live a little longer if you keep it on but if you get ganked by 6 guys camping the fire...you probably won't. You'll save yourself a lot of money by just leaving your armor in the bank. You'll die at least once in every capital so don't feel bad if you do. One flagged person is going to be very tantalizing to the opposite faction, you'd feel the same way if they were in your city.

*Get your faction's flames and desecrate your enemy's flames in the same day. If you don't you might as well devote a separate day to finding them.

*It is very easy to guess where the flames are located that you need to desecrate. It's always by the leveling camps/towns where the most quests are given. Hopefully that is common sense.

*In multi-allegiance towns like Gadgetzan the Horde and Alliance flames will be situated near each other...usually by the FP's of their respective factions.

You have to be at least level 55 to get this because of Ice the Frost Lord which requires entering Slave Pens.

There is actually a third daily quest you can do, Striking back, which will give you 10 blossoms every day, making for a total of 20 total blossoms per day for dailies.

Achievement requires level 55.
Proof, completed on level 55: Screenshot clicky.
I used all the fires for easy experience while leveling and got ran through Ahune as soon as I hit 55. The only one with a level requirement is Ice the Frost Lord.

I am on a very slow computer and Dalaran is normally a nightmare, so I was dreading this part of the achievement.

However, I went to the back of the Horde inn at approximately 72, 29 and my fps was about 200% better.

Once you find a spot, bind the torch to a key then just spam it.
